Default What is the best Xbox Component Video Cable? (Xbox 1, not 360)

Title says it all. I know there are several on ebay, etc. Will any old 3rd party brand do? Is there a top brand better than all others I should look for? Is there a brand I should definitely avoid? Was there ever an official Microsoft brand? I am completely ignorant on this subject; educate me! Thanks.

Personally, I use a Monster cable with an optical audio adapter. I doubt I'd be able to tell any difference with a cheap $5 generic brand cable though, so I'd just buy those if I were you.

Microsoft made a 'High Definition AV Pack' which is basically just a box with component & optical inputs on it, so you can use any kind of component cables you want.

Microsoft also made a component cable (not the box version). I used to have that one. Now I just use a 3rd party cable from ebay and I don't think there's any difference.

Fair enough. Just to be safe, any brand I should definitely avoid?

Some of the after-market component adapters do NOT have an optical adaptor on them, so if digital audio is important avoid them. I can say the brands for sure, and I'm sure there are quite a few that lack this feature. I'd play it safe though and stick with Microsoft's official pack. I use the Microsoft one on my HDTV and the picture looks great.
