When I had clicked post, you hadn't posted yet, so I didn't see it. I didn't finish my post though for a while, thanks to being distracted during my lunch break. You're spared too!

No. Get me one of those new DC Jumppacks that you found a few weeks back and you're back on my good side!
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

I think that quite a bit myself, especially with arcade cabinets. When I look at a coin counter on one of my cabinets such as the Klax (which strangely enough has over 40,000 cycles on it) I think about all the games that have been played on that machine and the places it had been. One coin mech being for US quarters and the other for Canadian quarters only makes me wonder more. Same with the Galaxian cocktail, how many first dates took place at that machine in the early 1980's? Heck, on my girlfriend and I's first date we played Galaga on one of those 20th Anniversary Class of 1981 cocktail machines - and that was in 2006.

I love clear systems. Just got a clear GB Pocket last Sunday, and have had a clear purple GBC for forever. Now I just need a clear GB.

I had never seen a clear GameBoy in the wild, so I asked what kind of price they had on it. He said they could let it go for $15. So I thought that I should grab it.
I collect for: Odyssey2, Atari 2600, Atari 5200, ColecoVision, NES, SNES, N64, SMS, Genesis, Dreamcast, PSX, and TI-99/4A

Alright, time for something to really kick this month's finds into motion. Its been a long, long, LONG time coming, but a pair of packages were waiting on my doorstep when I got home today. The first contained this...

Woohoo, boxed complete Vectrex system. The box does contain the styros and they're both in excellent shape. The system looks like its hardly been used and works great with the usual Vectrex quirks and age. Control panel is in excellent shape and works perfectly. The Mine Storm overlay is in excellent shape. Documentation is in excellent shape as well. The box is in very good condition with the usual expected wear - a little shelf wear here and there. There are also a couple places where the printing has worn away from tape or something similar and there's some sharpie writing on the top that has been marked out - think it's something like a storage number.

The second package was much smaller and contained the following...

    Vectrex - Armor Attack (complete)
    Vectrex - Berzerk (complete)
    Vectrex - Blitz! (complete)
    Vectrex - Scramble (complete)
    Vectrex - Starhawk (with overlay)

All boxes are in good shape with the usual shelf wear. Obviously Blitz! has a printing tear on the front. All cartridges are in excellent shape, as are the instruction booklets. The overlays for Berzerk, Blitz! and Scramble are all perfect. The Armor Attack overlay has a small 1/4 inch hole in the bottom left, just a chunk that cracked out. Starhawk has a broken off upper left corner. All boxed games have their paper sleeves for their overlays. And of course everything works great.

The price? $153.50 shipped. After stupidly passing up a $150.00 Buy It Now auction for a great Vectrex lot (system, bunch of complete games, two control panels, the illusive leather-like cover.. I know, I know) a few weeks ago, I decided it wouldn't happen again. I waited for a lot to come up that had most of what I wanted to get started with the Vectrex. Finally an auction came up that looked to me like a good way to break into the platform with a complete system and a solid collection of great games. The final bids got close to the price I set in my mind but didn't eclipse it so it was mine. My girlfriend convinced me to allow her to pay for part of it as an early birthday gift. No worries for me though, I'll sneak the money back to her.

Seems Veccy stuff has spiked a little this week. I was watching an auction for 10 overlays and instruction booklets, none of the rare titles either. Ended at more than I paid for my entire lot.

Congrats on the vectrex find david! Also shame on you for not picking up the $150 BIN lot with the case as well.

Went to the local goodwill today and passed on some 2600 games as well as some game gear stuff, but I did pick up a pretty cool Dave and Busters wall clock for $4.

Oh well, they wouldn't have stood up to much anyway.

Shop near me had reduced many prices by up to 50% and were having a 3 for 2 sale offer, they always have games that never get released here in the UK, I picked up:

    - Disgaea DS
    - Rhapsody
    - Rondo of Swords

All for the rather nice price of £27.50.

Also now passed the 150 game mark! Woohoo! The honour goes to Rhapsody, which is proving to be quite enjoyable.
I reject your reality and substitute it for one of my own!

Don't see one of these every day:

    Game.com Pocket Pro w/ Backlight - $1.40
Unfortunately the screen has lines on it, and some difficult to clean purple oil(?) was spilled on it. Didn't seem bad in the store, but then I found this stuff was in the stylus slot, link slot, and some even inside the unit itself (I opened it just to have a quick looksy). Oh well, worth a shot for 1.40.
Also picked up a Gen1 ac adapter for 1.95 from the same thrift.

    Today's finds:

SpiderBabe DVD - $2 (I figured it would be a stupid movie, but it turns out it's softcore pr0n - eek!)
Yello - Essential Yello (CD) - $2. Oh yeaaaaaaaaaaah.

I also bought three brand new t-shirts for a buck each. But who cares about that...

    Dum-dee-dum-dum.. another one of these.

NDS - The Legendary Starfy NFS Kiosk Demo Card

I don't want to divulge how I came upon this one but it primarily had to do with removal of an in-line DS kiosk due to fixture discontinuation. As with the last, it will be for sale. I'll put it in my sale thread later this evening.
