Not exactly a video game find, but...

I was out at a local grocery store today. In their bargain bin I found the World of Warcraft TCG "Heroes of Azeroth" starter deck package as well as the "Onyxia's Lair" raid deck package. They were running $5 each new. I guess I just have to learn to play and find someone else who plays as well. Hmm.

Here's my birthday haul from last Sunday:

-Lunar: The Silver Star (Sega CD, complete) $39.99
    -Saturn Bomberman (complete) $70.00
-Panzer Dragoon Saga (complete, one black sleeve and two white) $156.00

Oh yes! I finally have PDS! My copy looks wonderful, but the two white sleeves do not have the hole punched in them like the black sleeves. Is this a variant of some sort?
All three sleeves look and feel the same physically; I didn't get stuck with "generic" paper ones, so they're the real thing as far as I know.
    In Heaven, everything is fine.

Thanks, it was pretty good. I didn't get PDS that day because of a problem my parents had with the eBay seller. They apparently won and payed last month, but it never came.
Fortunately, Paypal issued a refund and I was able to get a replacement from somebody else. That's why I waited to post for so long.

But, I've got it now and without a hassle to boot.

Hey, are there any aesthetic differences between the Dualshock and the Dual Analog?

Also, how rare is that Samurai Deeper Kyo game? Something tells me that thing is going to be valuable.

The Dual Analog's thumb sticks are plastic with indents and the hand grips are about an inch longer, greatly increasing comfort. The L2 and R2 buttons also have ridges on the tops of them.

I actually found one today, but the sticks felt wobbly.

    I scored today.

    -Platinum Wavebird ($14.99)
    -Ghosts N Goblins ($9.99)
    -RC Pro AM ($2.99)

Had a 10% off card. Plus, I won a $30 gift card from an SSBB tourney they had there, so I didn't pay a thing out of my own pocket.

Satellaview - very minty and seemingly complete, even with outer box. I don't think i've seen any of these with the outer box. Any idea on value/rarity?
On eBay you can probably sell it for 300 dollars. On YJA they tend to go around the 15,000-20,000 yen mark from what I've seen. That is assuming the 8M Memory Pack has no self-executable game data, by the way.

If you can, try to load up the BS-X cart and see if there's any data in that pack - don't try to load it at the risk of it "locking" afterwards, since some games are designed to have a limited number of boot-ups. Instead, try to figure out what the game is by it's title (You can take a screencap and ask me for help if you want.).

Last night, my friend invited everyone over for a Borderlands LAN. He's got his modem and router in this garage/storage room, and since his parents moved out it's full of all the crap they didn't want anymore. Stuff like old manuals for PowerPoint, a Socket 775 mobo with bent pins, an old sound card or two, stuff that he keeps telling me he wants to throw out. We found a really awesome joystick (a Saitek X45), which he just gave me for free. It works, and I'm gonna play some Mechwarrior with it.

So we're playing Borderlands, and we're waiting for one guy to come back from a smoke break. They send me to see if he's coming back or not, and there's this old iMac sitting on the porch. Turns out, somebody else moved out and left it there with more junk that they haven't thrown out yet. He had kinda forgotten about it for a year or two, so it was really dirty. He said he'd sell it to me for $10, so I brought it inside and tested it. It's an iMac G3 from 2000, with a 450mhz proc and 512mb RAM. Hard drive is 20gb, and has OS 10.3.9 installed. I've been wanting an old Mac forever, and this is pretty much the one I've always wanted, it's even the right shade of blue! I don't have the mouse or keyboard to go with it, but meh. It cleaned up nicely, and the only problem it has is that the left speaker gets distorted over about 40% volume, but I can work around that.

I wanted an iMac back when The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime was released, and it bothered me until I tracked down a copy and played it in an emulated System 7 environment. Now I can finally play it properly without the glitches and crashes, and finally check out the Mac gaming scene from the 90s. I'm still working on setting the right resolution and refresh rate to make my TV accept the VGA output, right now I have to keep it at 640x480-75hertz to get anything to output to the TV, regardless of what the program switches itself to. Notice that the screen is off, because it doesn't take 640x480 below like 137 hertz, or something weird like that.

I'm going to have to mess around with operating systems. OS9 Classic Mode makes QuickTime all choppy, so I'll probably just get OS8 or whatever's free on Apple's FTP and manually boot it when I need to. Also, what are my options for better DVD playback on this thing? It looks great, except there's no deinterlace feature.

    Joystick - Free
iMac - $10 + Mountain Dew for the LAN
