Default PS1 Import Titles with "SAMPLE" Embedded on Discs

Hello, I picked up around 15 Japanese PS1 imports at the local swap meet a while back and just now noticed that they all have sample embedded in white letters on the center rings of the CD roms.

Most of the titles are Japanese exclusive imports including the following to list a few:

    Dance Dance Revolution 3rd Mix
    Bomberman Wars
    Various Gundam Games
    Final Fantasy Tactics

Theses games are all mint complete with spine cards. The only difference between these and the regular import release is the word sample and on the back artwork inside the case there is a not for sale sticker.

My guess is these were just sample games provided to stores or video game magazines.

My only real question is if there is any additional demand for these "sample" versions of the game above the normal market value for the regular import releases?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    -Dave

I collect Japanese PS1 demos but these don't neccesarily qualify. Like you said, they are basically the same as the retail release with the exception that they have the word sample branded or stickered on various parts of the game(my copies just have a "sample" sticker either on the manual or directly on the front case).

They aren't really worth anymore than the regular versions, though I suspect that you might find someone who collects these thats willing to pay a little more for them.

The only demo I have is a Japanese demo disc to some Ultraman fighting game that was randomly packed with an order from an import seller (probably some FC/SFC game). I guess it can't be worth much?
