    Default Mega Man Wily Wars

I saw recently an Ebay auction that went for quite a bit for a European Mega Man Wily Wars Mega Drive cartridge. Am I too the understanding if I bought a European title that I can get it to work on my Sega Genesis via a Game Genie? ?? I would love to add that title to my collection and I read somewhere that a game genie or pro action replay would make these games work.? what do you guys think? I have a Genesis model 2

Sadly, no. I actually have the European version of Mega Man:The Wily Wars and it won't boot up with just a Game Genie. You need a converter cart like the Mega Key to get it to work...
Mika: Where are you taking me, Gillian?
Gillian: To look at videos on YouTube...
Mika: *sigh* No more videos of a drunk Harry dancing with a dead Snatcher...
Giliian: Nope, it's better...Its LiquidPolicenauts YouTube Videos!
Gillian: And after that, you should also visit

No, I'm pretty sure you can get it to work with a Game Genie, you just need the proper code.

I couldn't find any code for the European version so I'm not sure if that would work with a Game Genie. The Japanese version has codes out there so it can be used with a Game Genie. A Mega Key is a brand of converter cartridge that allows you to play imports.

You could try to get a launch Model 1 Genesis that doesn't have a lockout chip. They shouldn't be too hard to find, I've come across several around where I am.

That won't help, the region lock and TMSS are different things.

Anyway, there is a Game Genie code to run this game in a US system. Look at this Sega-16 post for details, from a thread full of Game Genie region-lock-breaking codes for lots of games that are locked! http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showpos...5&postcount=11

Won't running a PAL game on a U.S. system screw with the speed or something like that?
