First off is the joystick my friend gave me for free.

Church thrift: NES turbo pad $0.50

Salvation Army: HHGTTG on tape $2

Goodwill: Genny Model 2 and Mario 3 Advance $3/each

Library bookstore: Aquaman was $3, and six recent game magazines plus Microserfs brought the total there to $5

Aquaman isn't as horrible as I thought it would be. Also, I looked for a power adapter and RF for the Genny, but didn't find them.

Thats a pretty good price of Mario 3 Advance. Damned game still goes for 40 bucks at my local EB Games.

Well... not much today. I think.

    VHS Tapes ($1 each):
    The Guyver Episodes 1 + 2
Rupan III: Legend of the Gold Babylon
    Rupan III: Fuma Conspiracy

    Software:
Star Trek: Starfleet Command III (CD + key) - $1
Star Trek Armada II (CD in case) - $1
Windows 2000 Professional (CD with key) - .50 cents

One booth had tons of oldschool anime. I only picked out the stuff that caught my interest, I left behind The Slayers, Project A-Ko, and loads of Macross. These sellers sometimes show up tomorrow with the same items so I'll probably pick up more stuff then.

"$3 for all classic games" came through nicely at Game Dude today.

Even though a have a Vectrex multi-cart, it's still nice to find an actual cartridge that I didn't have (PP).

This one I couldn't pass up at a thrift, also $3. Keith Courage manual, Alien Crush case, Dragon's Curse card, all together.

Ran by a different Goodwill today that serves as the headquarters for Central Florida. Not much there of interest, to be honest...

    PS1:
    Crossroad Crisis CIB - $3

    PC:
    Myth - $3
    Midnight Rescue (1989 5 1/4" Floppy) - $3

    Guides:
    Yu-Gi-Oh!: Destiny Board Traveler - $1

I love Midnight Rescue. I grew up playing that as a kid, but even this version predated the one I grew up on. I couldn't pass up Myth, as it is the only Bungie game I haven't played yet. Crossroad Crisis looked interesting and ended up being an R5, so not a bad day.

I was going stir crazy at home, so I decided to go out to Value Village. I found a Super Nintendo with hookups, two controllers, and beat up copy of Yoshi's Island for $24.99. I eagerly snatched it up, because around here that is a bargain! (My local shops are selling SNES systems for $40 to $60 without a game.)

However, after talking with a local shop owner, I discovered there was something broken on my SNES. There is a round piece of plastic missing from back of the system where the power adapter plugs in, but the metal pins are still there. I gave it a test run anyway, and amazingly enough it still works! I played Yoshi's Island for while and I didn't have any problems.

The shop owner said that as long as I am careful with SNES's power adapter (e.g. don't bend the pins), it should work for a long time. Although, I am curious whether there is a way to fix/replace that missing piece of plastic.

I'd like to know a fix for this too, as mine's kinda like that.

Ah, I wondered who got this group. I was watching it but honestly, I've been spending way too much lately (especially since OVGE) to drop that much right now on one lot. They looked good in the pic, so are the conditions of these pretty good??

Oh, and congratulations on the find! Glad it went to a collector and not a reseller shop.

Sort of finds I suppose... only because I deliberately bought these. Anyone who read the 8-bit magazines of the 80s in the UK should instantly know who drew these...

Other than the SNES, I doubt you're going to be able to resell that stuff at a profit.

Wow. Since condition isn't noted, are these games all new and sealed? I could see getting those prices for sealed games, but used and complete games like these are in the $5 range here.
