Couple boxed genny games from an impromptu thrift stop yesterday:

    Math Blaster
    Amazing tennis
    Gunstar Heroes

    $1.99 each

Keeping tennis, math blaster is for trade, and gonna give gunstar to a friend at work. He's been bugging me about it for months ("omg you have gunstar heroes? omg that's like the best thing evar" omg I wish I had that game")

Stopped by Goodwill yesterday, and picked up the following:

    SMS [all CIB]:
    - Alex Kidd in Miracle World ($4)
    - Alex Kidd: High-Tech World ($4)
    - Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars ($4)
    - Spy vs. Spy ($4)

    Genesis
    - Jurassic Park ($2) [CIB]

    Goldstar 3DO - $5

Pretty happy to find a 3DO in the wild. First time I've seen one. I was hoping to find some games with it, but it was just the system.

Found an Apple 2e at the University last night; since they were throwing it away I got it for free! Just the computer and the dual disc drive for now, I'm going to go back to check for anything I missed later tonight. Has the Thunderclock Plus, RAM expansion, disc controller, and what looks to be two custom built cards. It was pretty grimy, though I gave it a quick isopropyl rub down after taking the pictures. Some time in the near future I'll try to Retr0bright it, because although I normally wouldn't mind the yellowing that much, this thing has discolored in a blotchy pattern.

I think it was for controlling a couple of furnaces, based upon the fact that the floppy in the drive is a furnace control program for two furnaces, and the computer has two custom controller cards inside of it.

Now I need to look for some software for this, even just a ProDOS disc would be nice; the only thing that I can do right now is write BASIC programs in the RAM without the ability to save or load.

I won a lot of three NES games on eBay for $6 total.

It was Little Nemo, Alien Syndrome, and Battle Chess. $2 a piece is not bad for some uncommon games to add to my collection.

I also found an Odyssey2 adapter mixed in a box of random wires and stuff. Makes me wonder where the Odyssey2 ended up.
Check my auctions here! I am in the business of finding off-beat things, including video game stuff!

Nice find. Check out my posts in this thread about ADTPro. It'll allow you to create an ADTPro bootdisk and then be able to transfer/create Apple II disk images to physical Apple II diskettes. Official site is here. You may need to pick up a Super Serial Card (you can actually by a clone card new, there are links at the ADTPro site) and a serial cable but after that the world of Apple II programs is totally open. By the way, the serial connection is the only way to go - the audio patch cable option is a pain in the ass and I've never been able to get it to completely connect properly.

Thanks for the link. I'll give that a go--if I can find some 5.25 floppies. I think my friend has some spares lying around.

Yeah, it *used* to...but then again, Chrono Trigger *used to* go for $300.

Worth about $20 now, and it'd make a better gift than a sale to me

Went to a pawn shop in my home town today. Here's what I got, for $25 total:

    SNES games:
    -Earthworm Jim 2
    -Lost Vikings
    -Super Adventure Island
    -Super Ninja Boy

    -NES Max controller (x2)
-Nintendo 64 promotional VHS (features Jet Force Gemini)

Not a bad haul. Didn't realize I'd have so much trouble with the NES Max controllers though...

Took advantage of Movie Trading Co.'s Buy 3 get 1 free deal and got:

    Ranger X (Genesis) loose
    Frogger (Genesis) loose
    Clue (Genesis) loose
Captain America and the Avengers (NES)

In looking through the rarity guide, I was surprised to find that there are a couple of R4's in there, and that Frogger was the last game produced for the Genesis! Turns out I have a box and manual already in my stash, so now I have a complete Genesis Frogger. Cool.

    Today I got:
    FireHawk (NES)-$5

That's it for games, I also got a Styx album and an REO Speedwagon Album. Finally, vinyl that's not only not Christmas music, but is awesome music.

Oh, and thanks, Digital Press, for telling me about the Dizzy preview in Fire Hawk. That's an awesome Easter egg.

I used to have that variation you found. Strangely enough, it didn't have the bug fixes of the late original release and Player's Choice reprints; allowing you to use the screen warp and other such things commonly associated with the very original release.

I believe that variation was only available in a ice blue Game Boy Pocket bundle sold at Target ages ago, but I might be wrong.

I've submitted it to RFGeneration for their database and will let them know this info. At this point they are not sure if they will use it or not, as the origin is still unknown.

Another score from that video store client. I traded an hour and a half of labour (basically telling them one of the computers was dead and quoting her on new computers/etc) for this and a free ginger ale

I also have dibs on ALL games as they get put in the used pile from now on - they'll stop selling used games and just give them to me instead. This includes 360/PS3/Wii and the stack of old gamecube they still have.

    \m/

Most are up for trade/sale so if you want something let me know. I want NES/SNES commons I don't have :P

That's a pretty sweet deal skarr

But from a customer stand point I think that the owner is making a bad deal.

Possibly. From their point of view, they're worthless when they don't rent and they just want room in the store so they purge when space is needed. These have all been sitting on the sale rack for weeks without moving - she just wants them gone. And she can't be bothered to sell them online or anything.

I see it as a win-win, myself. She gets room and her space right away and since they have trouble selling them used anyway she doesn't have to deal with that anymore. And I get "free" games

If it was my business I'd probably find an enterprising employee to flip them on ebay for me. But it's not my business

Sales were alright again today. No video game stuff (cries)

I did get 2 Corsair XMS 1GB PC3200 ram sticks for $3. They sell for friggin $90 on eBay! I put them in my computer and now runs really fast and smooth. I had 768mb of ram in it before so I'm really happy with my new 2GB of ram
