Cyborgirl isn't shareware, it's a fully registered single table for Epic Pinball. Android was the only shareware table. Years ago (like 15 or so maybe) when Blockbuster was clearing that stuff out it was cheaper to buy them all as single tables rather than to order direct from Epic Megagames. I remember getting them for between $0.50 and $0.99.

Other side of the coin, Cyborgirl is one of my favorite tables from the game.

Man, I think I'm starting to regret not buying that sealed copy of Cyborgirl that I saw at a garage sale a few months ago.

@Goodwill Hunter: I'm not sure about the value of your games, but Nox is tons of fun! It's an excellent Diablo clone.

I played it and it told me to register to get more levels! It's shareware, plain and simple, even if you could buy all eight levels on their own.

The game is pretty good, but I'd rather hunt down the full set of ten tables on CD.

Sure it is, and if you had enough of the "shareware" releases you'd have the full retail version of all the tables - wait, that doesn't make it shareware.

I'm pretty sure Jill of the Jungle, Kiloblaster, and a few more series were eventually sold at retail the same way - as single episodes. As you installed them all into the same directory they would become available from the launch menu. Buying a standalone boxed copy of the first episodes in those series (same with Android / Super Android) would be in effect "buying shareware" without the shareware screens. "Buy the other episodes / parts" is nothing new with software of that era, as I'm sure you know. However the only table that was ever freely distributed as Shareware was Android / Super Android.

    FREE. Off of Craigslist

It's a complete mess of wires inside, but the cabinet is pretty solid. But it has a working JAMMA PCB and a monitor (which may or may not work).

Haven't done this in a while. Here is what I found this weekend. Atari 7800 with 23 games most Atari 2600. Lots of joysticks, paddles and a cart holder all for $20 from local flea market.

I also found a complete gamecube Mario Party 7 from same flea market for $10. Now I just need Mario party 5 to complete my Gamecube Mario Party collection.

Nope, Naples. I'd have loved to see Mega Man 1 sitting there, since it's one of my favorite in the original 6.

    Dangit.

Actually spotted a TurboCD game at the Naples PnT: It Came from the Desert. First time I've seen a TGCD game in the wild!

Good 7800 lot Thunderkid, considering the power supply alone can cost $10 - $15. Also the red label Yars Revenge is kind of rare. Nice pickups.

Thanks. Now if only I could get my LCD TV to accept the signal. It currently looks like using the supplied switch box. I even went out and bought one of those phono to coax adapters and while it helped out quite a bit, it still looks like . I might have to mod the console for composite video. Any one know any tutorials?

I got a boxed copy of Adventures in the Magic Kingdom (NES) for $5 and some change off of eBay. I've been wanting to try it out for a while.

Last night I found No More Heroes in the Blockbuster bargain bin. $10! I'm gonna start checking those more often, brings back memories of finding Mega Man 2 for $3 back when I was a kid.

Checked the GameStop page for A Boy and His Blob again this morning, and saw that a used copy was over at the GameStop down the road (the quiet little one that's actually pretty good). Picked that up and renewed my Game Informer for $44.

Has anyone noticed that the yellow price stickers at GS say "Pre-Owned" now, instead of "USED?" I smell an excuse for gutted games, as this clarifies the line between new-gutted and traded-in.

I checked the one in my local Blockbuster yesterday and didn't find any games other than MySims Party x_x

Camera seems to be gone right now, so I'll post pics when I find it. Today from a Thrift store:

    Ghouls N Ghosts (Gen) loose
ESWAT City under siege (GEN) loose
    Contra Hard Corps (Gen) loose

And two Cheat books by "future games" from 2005:

    Cheats! volume 6
    Cheats! volume 8
They cover PS2, Xbox, gamecube, etc.

Car dealers have been doing this for years. The only reason they do this is because it 'sounds' better to the consumer. Used comes across as a harsher thing beacuse you conjure up in your mind that it was heavily used, damaged ect.

When you hear about those factory 'pre-owned' cars, it conjurs up an image of them being in great condition and that they've had all kinds of checks done to them. Its the same thing with games. Oh, would you like a pre-owned copy, or a used one?
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.
