Looks like it was released - Werewolf the Apocalypse. I love White Wolf, so this should be an interesting release to check out.

Yeah, but were you expecting a Saturn-exclusive prototype to be fun? Nothing against the Saturn mind you, but the weird architecture mixed with the limited lifespan and lack of third party support tells me that anything good for the system probably managed to make it out the door.

The version shown on the SEGASaturno YouTube video is a much more advanced complete with running ability, collision detection to hit enemies and a different direction radar.

I don't know if I an getting this wrong but if this game was released by Hidden Palace & SEGASaturno then why wasn't the build shown in the video released rather than this unplayable build? It all seems a bit of a rip off to those who donated when they were told it was a playable beta. This is NOT playable in the game sense. The fantastic Fighting Force beta from drx while very early IS playable."

The video is from a different, more complete (yet still extremely early) build. Looks like money was flushed down the toilet on this one.

If they're going to charge a large sum of money on a mystery game, they could have at least picked one that worked. Community dumps are so lame.

Thanks for the copy-paste and all, but I was responding to Baloo's comments about the video. Even if the demo released was the more complete one, it still would have been a crap game, so my point stands.

I wasn't disputing anything that you posted, just building on it.

What's worse than a crappy Saturn title? One that's essentially unplayable and cost the community $550, that's what.

If people continue to pay for such releases, it's their own fault. Live and learn. . .

Well, it looks like there a storm on the horizon over on Assembler. There's no real fireworks yet but enough people are asking questions to make you wonder what will happen. It seems a bit uneasy to say the least.

As for people not complaining, I haven't heard a single positive response other than "Yes, an unreleased game."

Because the 'known' copy was under the control of someone who was a total ass about the whole thing. It's best that it didn't get released. Besides Capcom, if enough noise was made about it, might go all zombie on people too.

A beta of a game thats been released really has little value (your Dino Crisis DC beta), unless there are changes to it. Extra characters, music and the like.

It wont read on my dreamcast system. Is their an emulator or something that could run "homebrew games" that are on gd rom disks?

You need a System Disc to run it..(the Dino Crisis proto)
