Default Playing better on a smaller screen?

I have been playing COD5 like a crazy person lately and I have noticed that if I go from my 32 inch tv to my 22 inch monitor that I play better. Is it like this for anyone else? They are both HD btw.

Haven't noticed anything like that myself, but I don't switch tvs.

The two causes I can think of are input lag and distance you sit from the tv.

maybe the 32 inch tv is too big for your room i.e. you're sitting too close so it's difficult to watch everything on screen.

Good point. I didn't think of that. I am about 4 feet from it so that could be the case. lol

I play arcade games much better on a small or moderate size monitor because I can keep the whole playfield in view at once. Some of these mame cabs with giant monitors look great but then I try to play Robotron and do horribly.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, some arcadey games are tough on the DS screen because pressing buttons will move the screen a bit, making it hard to focus on tiny enemies. It only moves a millimeters, but in proportion to the size of the screen it's significant.
If you can't do it with 8 bits, you don't need to do it!

I used to play Halo 2 on a projector; it was a lot harder than playing on a regularly sized television. Couldn't see everything going on.

Never really had that problem with televisions under 32" though.
