So what about this failed for you? Did you go into the trade not knowing that most of the titles are sports games or something? Or did you give away the DS, or did you receive it? DETAILS! A LIST IS NOT A STORY!

basically i found an ad on craigslist offering 33 games for 40 bucks, none of the games were listed and he didnt tell me what they were, i didnt have 40 bucks so i offered him my DS lite complete in box i figured there would be better games in there. but i got ripped off, but it brings my nes game count to 75 not including duplicates.

Typically if you do any trade, you would ask the seller to post their list of game and get a picture to see if the stuff he/she is selling are legit. If seller will not willing to do both, then I would not trade it. Since you did neither, you risked it and didn't get what you want.

If you didn't like the games, why would you trade? I mean, you had to pick them up, didn't you? Why would you trade your DS without knowing what you were getting? Are you trying to gain sympathy, because I am far from sympathetic in this situation.

If he was asking for $40 for the lot, why would you offer him your DS Lite? You seriously didn't have $40 available to buy the lot? If the seller won't tell you what the games are, it's for a reason. $40 is pretty decent for that, it's not worth a DS Lite though.

One person locally on craigslist was selling Genesis games for a good price but didn't list the games or have a photo, and he refused to tell me what they were. I told him I wouldn't buy anything unless I knew what I was getting, I never heard back but I didn't care. I wouldn't get something unless I knew or at least had an idea what I would be getting.

Wow that really was a crappy deal, but I guess it's what you had coming since you didn't ask what games were involved.

You should've told him he'd get a mystery handheld for his mystery games. Maybe it would be a boxed DS Lite or maybe it would be a scratched up Game Boy or Game Gear. :P

I would have told the dude, "naw, those games aren't good enough for a DS Lite trade." You shouldn't have made that deal.

    ...?!?!?

    A couple of things:

    1) Is a DS Lite only worth 40 bucks?!?
    2) You didn't ask for a list of games?!?
    3) You didn't ask for a picture of the games?!?
    4) You didn't ask to look at the games before handing your DS over?!?
    5) You didn't ask to look at the games before handing your DS over?!?
    6) You didn't ask to look at the games before handing your DS over?!?
    7) I'm sorry. I realize 4, 5 and 6 are just the same question but, you didn't bother to look at the games before handing your DS over?!?

Gamble is the correct word. Trade, not so much. Did you just stick your DS Lite on a table and he handed you a box with a giant question mark on it?

When you made the trade did he suddenly offer you $50 for what was in the box before you could open it? Maybe $60? did he offer you $70 for the box? I dont know about you but I think you got zonked.

Also, did he look like Wayne Brady?

You screwed yourself. It wasn't a gamble. When you gamble you pretty much know what you stand to win, and if savvy, also your chance of winning. Someone won... Too bad it wasn't you. Learn to say no.

I'm not perfect, but I don't think I would have made that mistake. "Gamble" is right. I bet you learned a lesson from it though. lol.
As I side note, I have 34 games to trade. What is your offer? I'll take it.
