    Default Displaying your games?

I recently ran out of room on a black bookshelve I was using. So i'm looking for another way to display my collection? I put this in classic games because I wouldn't sure whereit fit. Any idea on a type of shelve or something to display them? I'm really wanting the color to be black.

How about another black bookshelf? Target and Ikea have some decent shelves at a reasonable price.

I try not to display my games; they don't get faded that way.

In a corner of a room I've got a little VHS tape shelf for Super Famicom / Mega Drive (same size as Genesis cases, minus the tab) and some other stuff. Game Boy Advance boxes or CD-ROM cases fit along the top; some Neo Geo games could fit on the bottom shelf. $20 Wal*Mart find some years back (I don't know if they still sell these, but it wasn't in the '90s). The only problems are: It's not really big, doesn't reach even close to ceiling height. Cheap, so I wouldn't bet on it stacking, nor would I modify a wall to hang another above the one at floor level.

Instead what I'd get are some stackable file / folder legal size cabinets, like the plastic ones Storex sells. They aren't an ideal size for any games, so there's often a lot of careful packing involved, and still space left over. They also aren't waterproof, in case you're thinking of basement storage. Should be pretty ideal and rather inconspicuous otherwise though.

I don't have room for two full bookshelves. I'll definatley check Target and Ikea out.

If you're set on a bookshelf, be aware that cheap crap breaks. You'd really need to overload it to happen, but I've made it happen to a supposedly not-bargain-basement shelf with shelves that weren't all that wide (with programming bibles, but still).

There are so many ways you can go to store and present your games. It all depends on how mobile you want your presentation. Cinder blocks, plywood, paint, and wolla you have a shelf that can be used in an apartment. If you own, then I recommend building the shelf using brackets right into the studs in the wall. Clear storage bins is another way. I have my games out so that it is easy to see and choose from.

Here is a crude example, these are some older pics of my game room. Again, I know that you are looking for a shelf.

I use something vary similar to this only mine is black, doesn't have wood at the top and the shelf lips are flipped up. Best $15 I ever spent.

They actually have that exact bookcase half the size (either half as large vertically or horizontally).
