Default Classic 'snake' and 3D tetris game using Wiimote and a large LED 10x10x10 Boxtron

They call their LED array a 'Cubix' but it's just an old LED project you can find info on here here and a step by step at Indestructables.com of a cheapo 4x4x4 LED cube here.

3D Snake on a 10x10x10 LED cube controlled with a WiiMote. The game is a classic. Eat the points, your snake grows, don't eat yourself. The use of the wiimote seems to go into every homemade project these days though. But you can't fault this one by watching it. Looks fairly playable.

The 3D Tetris isn't really like I'd want it. It's like laying down Tetris blocks as if they were sheets of paper when I want the old game Blockout.

'I want the old game Blockout'

If you have a 360, you are totally in luck. There is an indie game on the service right now called QbTron 3D, which is basically a clone of Blockout. It only costs a dollar, and pretty much looks and plays exactly like Blockout.

The other videos that were linked to that one were interesting, but I still didn't see what I really wanted to: a 3D face as an avatar for a computer. I was thinking along the lines of the huge positronic computer from the movie I, Robot mixed with Skylar from the Atari Jaguar games Cybermorph/Battlemorph. Set it up for voice synthesis and voice recognition, get some X10 Home Automation devices, and program it to control lights and appliances around the house.

Wow, check out "Cubatron" on Youtube. Simply fucking amazing. It's basically a huge sumbitch version of this cube thingy showing all many of awesome patterns at raves and such. Very cool technology indeed.

    Where do I buy these?

Pretty cool, though so much lost potential on the Tetris game.

And the Wii remote interface on all these projects is to be expected due to it's simplicity to implement. All you need is bluetooth adapter and software like GlovePIE to read it as mouse/keyboard.
