Default What AV or RF Cables can I use to hook up a Sega Saturn to the TV?

I have 2 saturn systems with power cords but missing the tv cords. I am under the assumption that the saturn uses a unique connector and genesis and other sega rf cables and av cables wont work. Am i correct? Whats the chepaest place to pick up a pair of what i need?

Yeah, none of the other systems have compatible AV cables, unfortunately.

Rather annoying since any Genesis AV cable is pretty rare.

Yes, the Saturn uses a unique connector. I don't think any other system uses it.

Officially, it has RF, composite, s-video, SCART, and a Japanese 21-pin RGB connector available (take care not to confuse the latter two, which look almost identical). Unofficially, I've seen a VGA connector, but it's just an upscan converter, and isn't worth it (you might as well just get a generic converter instead of a Saturn-specific one).

Anyway... Without doing anything complicated, s-video is your best bet, unless you're in Europe. $10 here.

Well it turns out that i found the rf adapter for one of them, and i tested the other system and it wont turn on, so I wont be needing any after all. I also found another whole system set with the plugs and all kinds of saturn stuff I forgot I bought. Thanks for the help though.

Haha, nice. I love it when it turns out that way. Too bad about the broken Saturn though!
