Default Portland Retro Gaming Expo 2010

We've locked in the dates for the 2010 Portland Retro Game Expo!

    September 18-19, 2010

Once again we have secured the Portland Crowne Plaza Hotel for our event, with the following changes:

    * We have secured a second room. The 2009 show used the 5,600 square foot Belmont ballroom. This year we will have that room plus the 2,700 square foot Windsor room for a total of almost 8,500 square feet of classic video game goodness. In addition to these ballrooms, we will have access to two large foyer areas outside of each ballroom as well as the same outdoor plaza we used last year.

    * We have opted for a two-day event. The 2010 Expo will operate Saturday and Sunday, September 18-19, 2010.

    * Service and hospitality improvements. The PRGE staff were extremely happy with the level of service provided to our guests by the Crowne Plaza in 2009, but we did agree on a few ways they can help us advance the Expo in 2010. They have committed to fully stocking the snack vending area for the duration of the show and to provide meals/sandwiches for purchase conveniently near the exhibition area. Additionally, they will ensure the onsite ATM machine remains stocked with cash throughout the weekend this year.

More information at the PRGE web site.

Alot of hard work was put into our last show, and it turned out great. We look forward to making this one even better. For those that can attend, this is going to be an awsome show, with a most excellent variety of games and systems for the whole family. I love being a part of the the contributers/organizers to this most excellent show, and have appreciated the hard work of all who were involved that made our last show such a big success. One thing is for sure, there is going to be alot of FUN in Portland this year!

When I see the title of the topic, I think it says Puerto Rico Gaming Expo 2010. lol I know it's not, but just had to say something.

I'll be there, along with most of the friends that joined me last year. Glad to read that there will be two rooms this year, things got pretty crowded.

I hope the Atari living room makes a return this year - I'd like to actually get a photo of myself in it this time around.

I know this may sound like a dumb/noob question and I apologize in advance for necroing this thread, but I was thinking about taking my consolized Neo-Geo MV-1 board to the show now since I am going to get a VGA box for it and I was wondering who do I need to talk to possibly arrange a chance to hook it up as I want to have other people enjoy what I have been enjoying for months now. ^_^

Funny, I was thinking the same thing for my consolized Neo Geo. I'm sure they'll let you set it up as a free play with the rest of the systems. Not sure if I'd do that with my Neo though. Consolized Neo's are not easy or cheap to replace if they get damaged.

By the way, I am going to be a vendor again this year (last year was my first). I might have some Neo stuff to sell. Depends on what I have on hand when the time rolls around.

Can't blame ya for the concern, but I am thinking of ways of countering issues up to small children possibly spilling something on the board. I hope to get more money to spend this year so I will definitely check out your stuff as there are a couple of games that I want to add to my collection.

We are planning to have all gaming systems to be in another room (not the vendor room) this year (except for those vendors that have a game system set-up at their booth/table) we might be able to have it set up in the free play game area if we have the room for it.
