An ex-coworker of mine wanted to get rid of some of his gaming stuff, and knew I am into that stuff, so he told me if I want some gaming magazines, and some game boxes. I said sure.

He gave me every single issue of Nintendo Power, from 1 to 247, even the sample issue of number 1, plus tons of game boxes, a CIB Gameboy, and other stuff on New Years. Damn! I was not expecting that at all, and he didn't even want anything for it, what a guy!

Wow...$80 seems high. I definitely believe it, but it's gotta be really related to condition. I see boxed (sometimes no manual, meh box) copies at like $35-40 on occasion, $50-60 for nicer ones. You certainly didn't get ripped off on it though. If I had the opportunity to buy one in person (where I could look it over before buying) and it looked nice, I'd probably get it.

As for myself, I just bought a big box of japanese games...it's from someone I know in Japan, and I told him not to tell me what they are (I trust him hehe), so I'll definitely have to take some pics when it gets in.

Also going to stop by a friend's house to pick up some of his old games.

Macross was really surprising, and is also a very good game. Oddly enough, it has the indentations in the bottom for an American SNES...

I also got a PIII power supply for my SuperGun project.
NICE find on that Scrambled Valkyrie. It is indeed a very fun game. I'm curious about the indentations though. It plays in your SNES without any kind of adapter?

I picked up MX vs ATV Reflex (PS3) today at the flea market for $15. I usually don't buy these kind of games, but for $15 only a month after release is good.

I went back today and waited until that booth guy left. His boss was around, though, and he sold me the memory cards for $4.

Yep, here's a comparison with an American SNES game:

    Very odd indeed.

    Um...

    That's a bootleg cart, I think.

That was my thought. I don't have any myself to verify, but I don't believe SFC carts are so... white.

The label is all messed up, but it has the SHVC-M9 number on it. However, the screws are kind of weird, they are white.

That's a rip off. I just paid $31.88 for 250 #0 mailers from eBay seller justpoundsandounces.

All of this is going to make my first find of the year really ironic.

Ugh, label hell. Paid $30 for SMRPG and $4.99 for Little Nemo. Chip N Dale I got for buy 2 get 1 free. SMRPG is just box and cart. Not a bad price though. Pleased to have a working copy of Little Nemo now.

Yeah well, I can't do that. I have no way of knowing whether or not I'll be using that amount of mailers and I barely have enough room in my home as it is. :P

Nice on that one. Manual's $10 + shipping ($12 total) if you're interested in making it complete off eBay, but that sucks about the sticker. Mine's got a crease in the box, but no sticker at least That's awesome how it has the PnT sticker on the box (I think?) and a GameStop used sticker on the cartridge for different prices.

I actually owned all 3 of those games as a kid and loved all of them. I remember that you got Little Nemo last year for $3...whatever happened with that?

The traces were burnt, so even after cleaning it perfectly, there were still graphics issues. It's the only NES game I couldn't get to work properly.

That's really weird, Little Nemo is the only NES game I haven't been able to get to work! I got it for a dollar total with some Ultima game at the swap meet last year, and it won't work no matter how much I clean it.

Weird indeed. Wait, you didn't trade this in at a Play N Trade in south Florida, did you?
