    Can a 1st party SNES Dpads fit in the Retro Duo/FC Twin Conntrollers??

    Yes, they are fully compatible.

    Good thing too... those clone controllers suck.

    Default Be wary

    I recently tried to replace my Retro Duo 's gamepad with D-pad for another clone, and after I did, I could not press up, or press right.

    Well, you can press up and/or right... the problem is that nothing happened for you when you did.

    Seriously though, that's pretty weird. Do the other clone's controllers work alright in the other clone (that they were made for)? This sound's like a bad contact problem more than a compatibility problem to me. Clone controllers don't exactly have the best track-record for standing up to long term use/abuse.

    If you're comfortable doing so, I would recommend opening up the clone controller and cleaning off the contacts with some (rubbing) alcohol. Can't hurt to try.

    I uses my SNES's controllers in my FC Twin. The cords are also longer which is nice, and usually the cords are nice and worn in too so you don't have that new controller kink going on.
