Did the seller say which version you would be getting? Did you ask the seller before hand which version he had? If not, as long as it's working correctly and is in the condition you expected to get it in, just keep it.

no, they had a stock photo of the US version in the auction. the condition is as expected, but i have not yet tried to play it to see if it works.

Canadian is still NTSC. It should still work I would think.

It goes without saying that the Canadian version is rarer, especially as you get farther away from the border.

Definitely keep it. It's certainly rarer, plus its still playable as its NTSC. It's always nice when the description of the game is off, but it actually benefits you.

There is really no reason not to. Unless it bothers you that you have French on the cover, in the instruction book, and I'd assume in certain games (I'd guess OOT and MM). I say keep it because you wanted the game anyway.

Some people are anal about the Canadian version. As long as they work & in perfect condition, that's all you need.

I hate the Canadian versions of games and I am Canadian. Its just irritating to have half the packaging taken up by a visual repeat of whats already been said but in a differen language.

Yeah, I think Canadians hate it more than Americans

I am no classic gaming guru but I'd keep it. It's looks rarer, and I'd say it's still playable. It looks like you may have gotten more than what you paid for ^_^

I have a canadian Sonic 1 cart, and love it due to it's use of the JP cover art. Keep it!

The game disc itself is identical to the US release. Most Canadian games come with bilingual packaging. Sometimes they have an English only insert in the case, then add the bilingual/French insert on the outside.

My copy of Samurai Shodown Anthology is Canadian. The French is annoying.

What's worse, my copy of Dance Dance Revolution X has English, French and Spanish! Agh!

Nintendo did that a while back on some games. Cheaper than having three separate releases.

I commented in another thread that the bilingual Canadian version of the Smash Bros Melee manual is completely missing half the content of the English-only USA manual.

So if you're concerned, Mr. Jaekwon, here's a download for the US version of the manual - you should check if the manual in your version has the same content. You certainly have grounds for demanding an exchange if you received something not identical to the product as pictured, I'd say.

DO WANT or DO NOT WANT? That is the question.

My 2 cents... Remember: Gamer over Collector talking, I'm not so anal in these matters as others are.
