Cool. I just picked up Episode I (the price dropped, so I figured I'd better snag it) - of course now I'll have to actually *play* it
Time will be when the broadest river dries
And the great cities wane and last descend
Into the dust, for all things have an end
Don't ya mean watch it?Originally Posted by Nature Boy

Xenosaga 2 - Coming Soon!
That SHOULD be the name of it. Since we all know it won't be released for another 5 years.

I can't wait for Xenosaga Episode III: Do Sexbots Dream of Electric Sheep?, which will be based on the philosophy of Philip K. Dick.
Seriously, I'm looking forward to another Xenosaga, since the next chapter apparently seeks to resolve many things that began in the first game. I just hope that it includes a world map of some sort. I'm getting tired of the recent trend of RPGs that shuttle players from point to point.

I finished Xenosaga in about a week, but it was a blast while it lasted.
I enjoyed the long cut scenes -- mostly because you CAN skip them and pause them as well -- and there was enough game play, and connections to Xenogears, to keep me happy.
I also would'nt advise paying full price -- but if you can snag the game for a good price, do so. I'm waiting for the day when we can have games that have 100 hours of playtime and 20 hours of movies.
I REALLY didn't think there were that many cutscenes at all in this game. After playing something as horrendous as FFX, I don't see how ANYONE could complain about Xenosaga.

I'd say that Final Fantasy X actually had less cutscene time than Xenosaga. FFX dealt out some lengthy cinemas within its first few hours, but it gradually cut back as the dungeon areas took up more of the quest. Xenosaga, on the other hand, had long story scenes throughout.Originally Posted by Sylentwulf
All the same, I think that people overestimate the cutscene percentages of both games. Xenosaga seemed to have about three hours of dungeon-crawling for every hour of story, and FFX had an even lower ratio. Of course, for those who don't like long cinematics, even a ten-minute clip can feel like the English Patient.
