Quite honestly I'd probably be more excited if the Swordquest games didn't have such a legendary aura of all-around SUCKINESS.

However of course I'm talking about the existing old Swordquests. I think that particular homebrew effort is definitely cool so please don't get me wrong.

Definitly sounds like an intresting project. Sure the Swordquest games did suck, but perhaps this homebrew can breathe new life into a rewarding series that should have been, instead of the suckfest it is now.

Unlless EVERYTHING about the game is completely changed (as in, it's turned into a GAME and not another nonsensical puzzle), it will suck as bad as those that came before it.

Want to see some nice new games made back "in the day" that DON'T suck? Check out the CGE releases. Pick Up, Crack'ed, and Save the Wales, for example. All excellent 2600 games.

So the Swordquest games were as crappy as playing ET on the 2600...glad I missed them then...sad I got ET and Pac-Man though.

E.T. and Pacman are 100% more fun than the Swordquest series combined.. E.T. aint so bad actually. It gets more flak than it deserves but there are easily a TON of FAR WORSE 2600 games out there, and that's a fact jack.

Does this mean I can finally win the 250,000 dollars?

@NE146: I couldn't agree with you more. Though I'm not a fan of E.T., it gets unjustly bashed. Almost as if people have HEARD it's bad and therefore jump on the bandwagon saying it IS bad. It's frustating (to me), but I wouldn't call it bad. Swordquest was BAD, though it's got it's following too. Unlike E.T, I can't find anything about it that's fun.
