Default A CIB Stadium Events on ebay.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...TRK:MEBIDX:IT=

Not mine. I'm predicting 11k, even though its ultra poorly listed. Should be the most interesting NES auction to come up in a LONG time.

I'm guessing $11k will be on the low side. The folks at NA spotted this, and I'm sure it will be on gamesniped by the end of the day, so the poor listing more than likely won't hurt it's final sales price.

I'm going with $14.6k, but with an auction like this, it's anyone's guess.

There have been 2 CIB SE sold in the past two months, so I think that will hurt the sale. How many people have $16K+ to drop on a NES game?

With that said, the last two that sold were over $16K from what I've heard, so anything is possible.

I'm sure he knew the value of Stadium Events. He took three separate photos of it for a reason.

The photos were added after the auction was started. The woman had no clue she hit the jackpot.

God, makes me think... Unaware seller, to have a BIN and be at the right place at the right time... I should stop thinking now, I'm already a mild insomniac. I don't need to live on eBay.

How's that for a stimulus package?

Yeah I figured the last one that was purchased was probably in the ballpark of $15-$20k. But of course the guy who bought it has been wanting one for a long time now. I'm pretty interested in this auction as I just don't know how many NES collectors have $16k or so to drop at this time.

I'd be one of those people to ask if she could end it early for a low price.

Can you imagine how much the seller must be freaking out right now? I'm sure they had no idea of the game's worth. I wonder if they're digging up other NES systems, thinking that's what is so valuable. And there's probably been a couple of those "HELLO FRIEND WOULD YOU END THE AUCTION EARLY SO I CAN RIP YOU OFF AT A LOW PRICE?" folks too.

I guess that someone tipped him off since he uploaded three more shots of SE and none of the others.

I'm sure she got flooded with questions about it causing her to think that something was up with it. All her other auctions are/were for a ton of random stuff. Just conjecture, but she probally bought the NES stuff at a thrift store or garage sale for $5.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying, that someone contacted and told her about SE because those pictures weren't in the original listing.

The seller has joined Nintendo Age since the listing. Here's a link

    Default NES sells for $13k!?

Okay I thought this was a clear cut case of wild Ebay bidding but it turns out not to be that wild. Well still a bit pricey for what the buyer received but you be the judge. I also must say the sellers handle is absolutely classy.

The PAL version is not worth near as much but is still worth some cash. Long story short, it's sought after because it was pulled from shelves extremely early in it's life cycle and very few copies were sold.

It's the rarest officially licensed game in North America.

And she only spent a couple bucks on it if I remember correctly.
