Default Using US/NA Power Supply On PAL Model 2 PS2

So I have a flat PS2 (model 2?) that is PAL. It's been tested it, somewhat, using a US power supply so I know it works to some degree. My question is whether there would be any long-lasting and negative side effects of not using the correct power supply w/ this console. So far there hasn't been any smoke leakage, but I'm wondering if this won't eventually fry the thing?

Well I guess this just goes to show I can't trust my friend when he says he's tested something. XD Just tried plugging this thing in and it doesn't work w/ a US power supply.
