Default CGL Super Kong Transistor Help Please !

Hi all, first post be gentle !
I have a broken CGL SuperKong which has a blown BCE type transistor.
It is marked as D789C (also lower OK3) it is the right hand transistor on the pcb nearest the jump button location.
    I believe it is a T092 type.
Does anyone know a modern day equivalent code for a replacement ?
This is a typical 4xC size battery hand held.

You might want to check out the forums at the Hand Held Museum. It's filled with collectors who have to do maintenance to their machines, so they'll have more specific knowledge on your machine than here.

If you can get NTE replacement semiconductors over there, it's an NTE315

    Same as a 2SD789C

    Thanks guys,
I have posted on Handheld forum too.
Cannot find any NTE315 over the pond here, closest I can find is BC639.
Anyone know of any UK source ?

    Tried BC639 - overheated
But did breath life back in the handheld - So confirmed Transistor faulty
Tried to source NTE315 or 2SD789C / D789C cannot find one here in the UK.
    Any contacts or suppliers ?

Thanks for the info but Mouser want £2.33 for the transistor - ok but a high price compared with the US.
But the real killer is the delivery charge £12.00
wtf I'd be better off buying another handheld off ebay !!
I'll look for mouser outlet in the uk as suggested and see if there is a better delivery charge.

    Any other ideas please ?

Update: Still unable to source one of these in the UK. Mouser Outlet want £12 p+p
