    Default Saturn RAM Key Question

I was reorganizing my room and in a box found a Saturn "Ultra Madness 4M Turbo Key" that I remember picking up in a random accessory dump box about 4-5 years ago. Does anyone have one of these? Can they be used to play imports? Are they any good?

I also found an Interact Memory Card Plus. If I recall these things were big pieces of crap because they compressed all saves, at least on PS1. Anyone have any opinions on that one?

You can use that St-Key +4mb to play imports and games that require the 1 or 4 meg RAM carts, not sure how good it is though cause I've never used one. As for the Interact memory card, yeah it's a piece of crap, constant save file corruption and all that like the PS1 card.

I have a non-memory expander ST-Key, and it can definitely play imports. In fact, I bought it at a classic game convention wrapped up with four Saturn imports (one was Konami MSX Antiques Collection!) for $20. It's a pretty cool thing to have. As long as your cartridge port doesn't die on you, like so many other people's have.

Mine died on me years ago. I miss playing Marvel Superheroes VS Street Fighter.

Yeah, it's a cool little accessory to have around as long as you keep the pins clean. If they get dirty sometimes the Saturn will nor detect the $mb upgrade and it's a good idea to carefully take it apart and make sure that nothing is on the pins either as that can also short out the cart port.

ST-Keys aren't worth using, because the pins on the cart are too thick for the slot. It will do damage to your slot.

Go with the Action Replay 4-in-1 instead.

It can definitely play imports and is very cool to have!!! I have one and use it for all of my import games from Japan, even the RAM cart games from Capcom and SNK. Obviously, it does not let you use the Saturn RAM backup cart as well as the CD+ROM cart combo games.
