    Default my modded nes

hey guys new here and thought i would share my nes . i have overclocked it with a switch to go from normal to 2x oc . i have done the lockout switch mod with a switch to enable/disable it . i have also done a variation of the stereo sound mod with a separate pot for adding mono sound into each channel separately . and of course a blue led .

i have also molded my nes satellite to use a 9volt battery instead of the c cells .

i don't have the rf shielding , i moved when the nes was half done and it seems to have gotten lost or thrown out during the move .i do havethe cover , its jsut not on in the pics so you can see some of my wiring mess ...

Heh, looks like we got a new modder on the scene. Looks pretty sweet, hope to see good things come. So hows that stereo mod work anyways? Are you just building an extra cirucuit for duplicating the first channel? Or is there some hidden untapped second channel somehwere on the board that nintendo didnt use?

thanks for the complement . there are 2 different sound chips that normally get mixed into a single monorail channel .i taped into each from a diagram i found on line .

it sounds goofy if there is not a bit of mono sound mixed into each channel that what the pots on the back of the nes are for . each one controls the amount of mono sound mixed in to each channel .

sorry if i did not explain it correctly , or clearly .

You could also do the Famicom expansion sound mod.

I'm glad i made sense for once , normally I don't lol . the die is nothing more than the knob for the mixer control . i could not find knobs at rat shack so i drilled out some cheapo dice.

what is the famicom sound expansion mod ? sounds interesting . i will fet pics of the nes with the cover in place when the cam is done charging .

    Here's the thread from Famicomworld:

I used a Gyromite with a converter inside to do this. Works with the disk system and some Famicom games (Akumajo Densetsu, a.k.a. Castlevania III, is probably the most famous example).

What does overclocking accomplish for NES games? Is it like a fast forward switch?

it helps game with lots of slow down due to many on screen sprites to run more smoothly . other than that all it dose is mess with sound pich .
