I got a DJ Hero Demo unit off of Craigslist for $40. I am pretty jazzed over it. The disc is still sealed.
The controller is actually wired, which is different.
I finally found a decent local deal! I found a Vectrex on Kijiji yesterday, and went to pick it up today. Apparently the woman I bought it from won it in a contest back in '82 or '83. It cost me $100 dollars, which I think is pretty awesome for what I got:
It came with five games: Star Trek, Beserk, Hyperchase, Starhawk, and Scramble. All of them have their overlays, except for Hyperchase, and three of them came in their boxes: Hyperchase, Starhawk, and Scramble. I've been wanting to get a Vectrex for a few years now, so I'm very exited that I finally found one.
Also, I got a free Variac two days ago. It's not exactly a gaming item, but once I verify that it's working correctly I can use it to run my Japanese systems at the proper 100V. That, and I got a SCSI CD-ROM drive, which I should be able to adapt for use with my Mac IIci.
Today:
Went to a local place that I hadn't been to before. Lots of piles of stuff everywhere in there, reminded me of some of the booths in an indoor flea market around here...
For $17 I got the following:
Game Gear
--
Bugs Bunny in Double Trouble (cart and case) - not a great game I think, but oh well.
SNES
--
Cybernator (cart only) - pretty good price for a great classic I think...
PSX
--
Bubsy 3D (no manual) - Just a few bucks for an infamous "classic"? As soon as I saw it I had to get it... and I've played level one now, and it's not too bad. Sure, it's no Mario 64, but it's not actually awful I think, for 1996... I'll have to play it more, but so far I'm a little bit pleasantly surprised. (The main negative is Bubsy's floaty, tank controls. It can kill you -- sliding off platforms into pits, etc. Oh well, I'm sure you get used to it...)
PC (both jewelcase only)
--
Sim Theme Park -- It's basically Theme Park 2, and Theme Park was awesome.
Star Wars: Episode 1 Racer - Yeah, the PC version of ... THAT game. That I've always kind of disliked on the N64 thanks to its crazy difficulty level. Why did I get this again... but somehow I couldn't resist. Oh well... we'll see if this version's any different.
Then I went to a Goodwill near there, and didn't see much, but there was one game there, that's probably the best game I got today... for $2...
PC
--
Heavy Gear -- with jewelcase, manual and quick reference card! Awesome, awesome stuff for a mech-sim classic... I will definitely need to play this game.
They also had a Microsoft Sidewinder USB Force Feedback Wheel, but it was $8 with no power supply and it does require one, so after considering it for a while I ended up not getting it. I imagine finding one of those power supplies would be a real pain... I could go back and get it if it's really worth it and the power supplies are somehow available though, it did have both the wheel part and the pedals (and the cord that connects the two).
It's been a pretty good week alot better than last week atleast.
On Tuesday I got a bag with 12 N64 games at my local thrift store for free. I already had most of them but I got 4 out of the bag that I didn't have so that's ok at the same store I also got a copy of Doom II for pc for $3.
On Wednesday I went to the Goodwill anf found a copy of the Gears of War soundtrack for $3. I don't like paying $3 for a music cd but it's not to often that I find a game soundtrack around here.
Today I went to Gamestop for their 50% off "new" games sale and got for the PS3 Blazblue: Calamity Trigger for $20 and Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice also for $20. also while I was there I noticed they had the Wii demo disc for Monster Hunter 3 so I picked that up to.
I picked up the following game boxes at a Ham Fest. Most of them have the manuals:
Nintendo DS Box & Manual
Lost Magic
InuYasha Secret of the Divine Jewel
Pokemon Pearl
Lost in Blue 2
Pokemon Ranger
Final Fantasy III
Lunar Dragon Song
Nintendo DS Box
Hoshigami Remix
PS2 Box and Manual
Chaos Legion
Xenosaga Episode III
Final Fantasy XII
Grandia II
Grandia III
Radiata Stories
Valkyrie Profile 2 Slimeria
Wild Arms 4
Phantasy Star Universe
Kingdom Hearts
Magna Carta Tears of Blood
Ever Grace
Yu Yu Yakusho Ghostfiles Dark Tournament
Future Tactics - The Uprising
NanoBreaker
PS2 Box
Prince of Persia Warrior Within
La Purcelle Tactics
Legaia 2
Zone of the Enders - The 2nd Runner
Some of the cases are kind of trashed, but the inserts are okay for the most part. They were asking $.50 each and I got the whole pile for $8.
Most of these will wind up being posted for sale in the orphanage since I don't really need any of them.

The Skinny Bald Guy...I had a name for him as I wrote about him before.
I walked up to a spread of 8 NES games, common stuff..$2.00 each...I bought a SMB triple .Then the worker said $10.00 for the rest if wanted them....I put the SMB away and started to walk, thinking about it..The Bald Guy comes up yelling...NO,NO,NO>asked in spanish how much did his worker sell the game for...$2...He said No,no no-yelled at his working..$5-$5 $5 and wanted his game back..So I dug it out, plopped it on the ground and got my money back..I could imagine how pissed he would of been if I bought the lot for $10.00
I could of argued the point but not worth it for $2.00 at a flea market..This guy isn't worth arguing with I've had it out with him before.
Yesterday:
A Saturn gamepad (second model), looks okay but has some... rust in the plug? It's not shiny but I think I can clean it - $1
D (Saturn, discs only) - $2
I found that copy of D at a booth with tons of old PC games. They had several Saturn games too but most were sports so I left them behind. I did get ticked off because I found a ton of random Sega CD and Saturn games... loose. In a box. And they were scratched to hell. I would've taken them if they were in good shape...
I dunno what I'm doing with D. I mean, I already have the game. Sealed.
Today:
I went back to that booth where I found D and picked up:
Microsoft Picture It! Premium - $2
Sonic 3D Blast (disc only) - $1
Lost Eden (PC, disc + manual in jewel case) - $1
The Jongg CD - A CD with tons of Moraffware Mahjong variants, I hope they're the full versions :P
Ren & Stimpy - Fire Dogs cart for $20 in a local store.
Rare enough I can't find a listing on ebay to see how I did.
(R7, though so is Ardy Lightfoot and that was pretty easy to find on amazon/ebay)
Along with Mr. Do! SNES for $25 (probably a few bucks more than I could've spent on ebay) and Gargoyle's Quest II for NES for $10 (just what the guide says).
quite possibly the best find i've ever seen in the "wild".....i went to a local pawn shop this morning and saw a small lot of sega cd games all for $5 each which included heart of an alien among others.....however.....they actually had Snatcher complete for $5.
i was in amazement and quickly grabbed this one! my non gaming friend with me was like why are you so excited and i didn't even comment.
anyway, i'm a happy camper now.
At the Gamestop sale:
Persona 4
Resident Evil 4 Wii
Sonic Unleashed (360)
All for about $45
And don't bring up that stupid girlie Aladdin rip off! Shantea?
I actually want to sell the sealed game so I can buy a minty opened game.
Edit: Forgot to mention today's weird finds -- European Mega Drive games.
Yes, European games.
I found Shaq Fu, a James Pond game, a Konami basketball game, and a bunch of other titles that were released stateside. There were two German VHS tapes in the same pile so that was weird. I didn't buy any games because most were missing the manual (except for Pitfall. That thing had a HUGE manual) and I wasn't sure if they would work on my NTSC system.
