Default My 1 year anniversary with the Xbox 360 today!

Wow, that year went pretty quick! Just like RE4 was the reason for me to get a Gamecube, RE5 convinced me to go for the special edition red Xbox 360 on Friday the 13th last year. I have no regrets for that purchase. I loved RE5, a great 1st game. Now I am playing lots of other 360 exclusives and discovering some great games.

A few stats from the past year:
    Games owned.... 64
    Games finished... 16
    Games completed w/all achievements... 2
    Total Achievements... 344
    Gamer score... 8125
    Red Rings... 0

I like the Red Rings = 0 part. Hopefully mine does the same thing and isn't one of those faulty systems. I've had it a few years but have only played it a few times. With those I guess the newer they are the better chance you have of survival. Looks like you're getting plenty of enjoyment out of it. I hope it continues on for you.

Not when almost every game for the xbox is also for the PC, and its a known fact that any game that is for both the PC is dominate. Well maybe not all the times but I can't think of an example. But I can think of TF2 for xbox vs. PC..

I beg to differ based on the user numbers, but I don't have a problem with pc gaming as I do it as well.

You're in "The $599.99 Club" too? Still stings a bit for me.

2+ years on my black elite, not a single issue myself.

Sorry but pc gaming doesn't come close, I love it but the game releases do not justify the costs involved compared to console gaming.

Well actually at the time I had first heard about the RROD on 360 and my tray door started sticking and wouldn't open at times, I took the 360 to Gamestop and prayed it would open if they tested it, it did.

At the time it was a special console upgrade trade in and like 25% bonus per game, so I traded my 360 about 4 games, 2 controllers and about 25 old Xbox 1 games and got the PS3 with 2 controllers Motorstorm and Resistance for $20.

Congrats. My 1 year anniversary for my 360 was just last month. My Jasper runs as smooth as a bumper on a ferrari and I do not regret my purchase one bit(I also got it pretty affordable during Circuit City's going out of business sale).

Theres so much gaming goodness that the 360 has going on. It also has a few negatives but the positives outweigh them. I'm now looking forward to my second 360 anniversary next year. Cheers mate

That's kind of crass. He should have taken it out for dinner first at least.

    Anyway, congrats.

Same here. PS3 60GB 3 year anniversary but mine was $499 when I bought it new. Game Crazy was having a special discount sale. Then I got a 360 Elite in July 2007 after the AC Adapter had a revision (this is supposed to be when the 360s became more reliable "crosses fingers"). I got the Wii somewhere in between the two, probably that April or May.

Congrats, have owned my Premium 360 since January 9, 07 and still is working despite having the RROD 4 times so far, love it and own 250 games for the console. My PS3 is still working great since launch, same goes with my Wii had it since launch.

Pffft....paid $799 for my launch 60gig PS3 and dumped it a year and a half later. My 360 Arcade *runs and checks receipt* turns one year old on May 17. I have over 40 games for it...and have no harddrive. I'm using a 256mb card in one slot, and a 512mb in the other. I only just started into the 512 yesterday. The sytem is smooth and hiccup-free thus far. For me it's the fun of achievements that I like about the 360. On the subject of harddrives...does anyone know whether a brand new harddrive still comes with Hexic installed on it? I'm considering buying a harddrive so that I have that game. I had a launch 360 that had the game on it but unfortunately the console died and I moved to the Wii.

I bought a lot of used lots on Ebay. Great way to get the collection going without spending too much. I think only 1 or 2 games (besides RE5) were bought new. I don't have many newer games yet, like CODMW2.
