    Default Tales of Phantasia X

First off, fuck Namco. Now that that's out of the way. I want this game. I've also wanted Tales of VS, Tales of Destiny 2, Tales of Destiny Remake, and Tales of the World Radiant Mythology 2, etc. This is just another chance for Namco to shaft US and PAL gamers, as usual. This only makes me wish even more that Namco and Bandai didn't merge together as we get less games than we got before.

Includes Tales of Phantasia Full Voice Edition and Tales of the World Narikiri Dungeon remake. Two games in one package.

Namco Bandai has today revealed Tales of Phantasia X, bringing not one but two remakes to the PSP later this year. Not only will the very first Tales game be making a glorious return, its Game Boy Color counterpart is being dug out of the archives, too.

Tales of Phantasia Cross Edition will be the first game in the dual package, is an improved version of the Phantasia remake that hit the PSP in 2006. Not only does it include all of the 2006 version's tweaks, it includes a revised battles system and a smattering of new story elements.

Far more interesting is Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon, a game originally released exclusively in Japan for the Game Boy Color way back in 2000. Set 100 years after the original Phantasia, it includes random dungeons, and a costume system that lets characters change classes and skills on a whim. The remakes enhances the visuals in a completely reworked version of the original game.

    *sigh*

I could always use more Tales games in my life. Waiting for fan translations (not .txt files either) of the PS2 iterations is as heartbreaking as it was waiting for Policenauts to be translated.

Of course, we're all pretty certain we won't be getting thing.

Well, at least after many years, we got ToP in English on GBA. Many complain about that version, but it's better than nothing.

No thanks to Namco. We wouldn't have received Tales of Phantasia for the GBA if it wasn't for Nintendo publishing it. Granted Tales of Phantasia is one of the more overrated games in the series, it's still a good game and it's one thing I can thank Nintendo for.
