    Default Nintendos First Videogame Venture

SO i read that Nintendos first venture was to distribute the Magnavox Odyssey system in Japan in 1974. Kind of odd. Does anyone know anything more about this

The Laser Clay Shooting System was before that...unless you're just talking home systems.

Well I do know they made Color 16 systems which were variations on Pong- back in the time when the Pong game had attracted companies' attentions and lead to a flood of home Pong systems. I believe that was one of their first video game investments although I'm not sure.

Oh its just unusual that Nintendo had a relationship with Magnavox. I hadnt heard of it before. More interesting than weird i guess

I find the US Atari/Nintendo proposed tie-up more mindboggling.

There's other odd pairings that get me. Mattel was considering bringing over the Bandai Wonderswan to the US. Atari was thinking of rebadging the Gizmondo and releasing it over here. Sega was going to get Atari to distribute the Genesis in the US. Oh, what could have been.
