Yup, seen that video before, and I think it was posted already, but a DAMN FINE video. Never tire of that video! I love the seriousness of it - hehe. It makes it look like a MANS gaming console.

I never picked up a Sega CD, but if I saw that video I still wouldn't have picked one up. Sewer Shark, Make Your Own Video, and even though I've never played it, Night Trap would have turned me off to it. If over half the games you're showing in the advertisement looks like balls then that kind of tells you.

Anyways. I've always thought if it had more support it would have came out on top as the best system at the time of its release.
Everything in the above post is opinion unless stated otherwise.

    "First system with full-color graphics"

Straight up lie. The Genesis isn't even close to full-color.

    "Two 16 bit processors"

Yes, I guess if you count the one in the Genesis itself.

    "Over 500 megabytes of power"

    ...loaded at 150KB/s

Also, I like how they played some of the video footage at a higher speed to give the impression of a smooth framerate.

Well When it came out I was a big fan and also I didn't have any money, so I had to play on a friends house and always wanted more, I remember even dreaming I was plying it. well Sega always needed more support and more quality but I love Sega games anyway! brought a lot of memories that video and Saturn commercials were worst with the same concept in mind!

You say that now, but back then, it was all the rage. No one was complaining about FMV games, in fact, they were extremely cool and way ahead of their time. Of course now it has not aged well, and looks and plays like ass.

Love this video, got the original VHS it came on too.

SEGA forked our several million dollars to buy ad time on British TV in order to play this 8 minute monstrosity.
