    Default April 2010 Finds

I found my sanity at a Sharis at 2am. For only a few people on here know what I do during my days. I am currently on month 5 of being open. I opened my own store in Kelso, WA. I sell nothing but classic games and records for a living. I am opened Tuesday through Saturday 12-8. Even after work I am there. I am starting the month with my finds or trade in's for the shop Ogre Battle and Harvest Moon for SNES. I will be posting more stuff as the month goes on because I like telling people what weird and vintage stuff that comes into the shop. I am going to go now and drink my Dr. Pepper.

Awesome deal on the display stuff. I wish I was able to do something like that...I need display stuff for my game room. It looks pretty sad right now with tons of games on display, but nothing to spice it up

I just got a (mostly) CIB NES Miracle Piano in the mail today. I've yet to open it up, but it should be in good condition.

    Nice.

$60 for the light up signs alone was a good deal. Only thing I've found so far this morning are some good laughs.

Wow, I wish I could get some displays like that. The only thing I have is a giant-sized, "phat" DS box that I pulled from the Game Crazy dumpster some years ago. >_>

Well, I did the Goodwill lot sale again today and found a small amount of stuff.

Boston Acoustics HD5 bookshelf speakers, in unknown working condition - $4

Alienware Nero Express v6.0.0.6 install disc, NCIS season 5 disc 1, and Will & Grace Season 2 missing disc 1 for $.50 a disc.

F-Zero GX case and inserts only - $0.10

    and finally something interesting.

clear (atomic?) pink N64 with A/V and 2 controllers (clear blue and clear green) for $7 all together.

Everything is FS/FT, even the speakers (if they work, of course).
Check my auctions here! I am in the business of finding off-beat things, including video game stuff!

Found out the-now CIB NES Miracle Piano set I have is a variant of the box I already owned...weird. The new box has stickers on a normal Miracle Piano set denoting that it's for the NES, while my old box has the NES Gold Seal printed on.

That's my interesting find for the day, sadly.

Very nice. I bet the person you traded with thought you were crazy. An old sports game for Force Unleashed?!

Went to a brand new thrift store today, and got:

    Star Wars: Rebel Assault (Macintosh)
    Crosscountry USA (PC/Mac)
Plan 9 From Outer Space (VHS)

$1.50 for it all. They also had Glen or Glenda, and a bunch of other weird VHS tapes. Also went to Border's and got "1001 Classic Commercials" in the bargain bin for $4.

    So uh.

    Today was pretty awesome.

Rosetta Stone: Chinese Levels 1 + 2 was $8, System Shock 2 (very scratched, disc only) and Diablo: Hellfire (disc with manual, mint) CDs were $2 each, the Ultima Collection box has no disc (but I picked up a loose CD at another booth on Tuesday, so I have a CIB copy now) and that was $1, and the Wolfenstein 3D cart was $1.

It was raining very strongly at that point so I grabbed all that stuff and headed towards my mother's apartment (which is about a half block away from the flea market), left the stuff, then went back for another round and found these for $1 each:

In hindsight, I should've only picked up the Curb DVD sets... the others aren't worth much.

Oh, but that wasn't the first thing I bought.

I arrived at the flea market at around 7 AM but I didn't have much cash on me so I walked across it to go to the supermarket that's just outside the flea market (on the other exit) to get some cash... I saw a booth where I usually buy CDs and THIS was just lying there on a table.

The box is beat up, and the cases are cracked... but the discs are mint and the manual is complete. And it cost me $5.

I still can't believe I stumbled upon a copy of this game.

Was in Buffalo NY today, went to Phoenix Games in the Mckinley Mall, picked up Squeeze Box for the 2600 for 99 cents and got Montezuma's Revenge featuring Panama Joe for the Master System for $7.95. Also any games were 20% off

Nice find on the Gamecube Component Cables! I was lucky enough to have the same fortune as you at Gamestop.
