I'd be interested in those two game player issues.
as for the magic cards, it looks like its all modern sets, only sets really worth money are legends and back. you'dhave to show some pictures of the cards in the bag, you never know what you might find in there. I bought a simmilar lot with mostly shit cards but burried in the piles and piles of crap was a black lotus and a few dual lands which translated into close to 1000$ worth of cardboard ;-)
I've been thinking about unloading my pile of MtG cards for a while now. They've just been sitting in a cabinet, collecting dust for the last 10 years. I have no idea what the market is on these things, only that Alpha, Beta, Unlimited, Arabian Nights, and Legends sets were the money sets. I mostly have crap from 4th edition - the Urza's block. I remember the Urza's block being really good, although the value is probably jack.
Don't be too hasty, there's some cards from the Urza's block that should still carry a decent price.
Life is like a hurricane...
I picked up Sunset Riders for the SNES for $2 at a pawn shop that never has anything. Was my one good purchase. I also got a good laugh at the Value Village pricing CIB Shaq Fu for $10. Yeah.
Here are my pickups over the last few days:
Red Dead Revolver was 2.50
Galactic Pinball was 1.50 This is my first VB game, now all I need is to find a system and I'm set
I was pretty excited about finding the Lunar puppet, I admit that I had dollar signs in my eyes but it's not worth as much as I was hoping, but it's still pretty cool. Never been opened and it was 5
I'm happy to have found a laserdisc player, it's a Pioneer CLD M90 which is also a 5 disc cd player, now I just need to test it out. Anyone have a movie I could buy for cheap? It was 13
Finally the one that I'm most excited about STTNG and X-men! I heard about this book from a co-worker years ago and ever since I have been keeping an eye out for it. I finally got it and I can't wait to start reading it, plus it was only 2
I always am tempted to take a chance of trading cards games too when they come up. I bought a whole tote bin of pokemon cards one time for 5 bucks from a lady. There were a ton of holographics in there and I hoped something in there was worth it. There are the times where it is obvious the good stuff someone hung onto and gave away their commons, but I will usually buy when you can tell they are just getting rid of everything they had. I also got a tin full of yu gi oh cards this past weekend at a church sale. They had 4 tins. But only 1 of the tins had the cards in protective sleeves and there were some holographics, so I assumed this was the persons better card box. Someday when I get a chance Ill have to go through the boxes and bins of magic, yu gi oh, and pokemon cards Ive acquired and hopefully make some decent money on some cards.
Autobots. Roll out.
I haven't posted in these threads in ages but I figured I made some pretty decent finds in the past week.
First group is from a local collector that is moving over seas and had to sell everything. No extraordinary deals but I got some games I've been wanting and didn't pay eBay prices for them. This guy had an AMAZING collection of stuff all over his house and it wasn't even half of what he had in the past (according to him). This is what I got...
SNES-
Zombies Ate My Neighbors $6
Super Smash TV $6
UN Squadron $3
Earth Defense Force $3
Earthworm Jim $3
NES-
Metal Gear $5
River City Ransom $5
Bill & Ted's Excellent Video Game Adventure $3 (Had to pick this one up. I couldn't believe they had a game of that movie.)
I also got a pretty neat PacMan pocket watch for $3 and a couple manuals for games I already have.
And then today I think I may have found my best/coolest find yet. Sega CDX. Everything works. Three controllers, AV/Power cables, Lethal Enforcer in the big box with gun and everything, Sonic CD, Third World War, Ground Zero Texas, Wing Commander, Ecco the Dolphin, Sega Classics, and two Madden games from the 90s. Payed $30 bucks total.
Not really sure what the CDX lot is worth and I know this isn't the what's it worth forum but what do you guys think? I know I got a good deal but how good?
Today's finds:
Nascar Racing 4 (budget version in DVD case with key)
Age Of Empires 1 + 2 + both expansions (Xplosiv budget version, European)
Pac Pack (six Pac Guy games)
All for $4.
I posted an answer in the thread for you. You got an awesome deal and I'm jealous

Those all look to be from the Chronicles set, so in short not the valuable type. If you happen to see any cards without a date (near the artists name) those are the oldest (Arabian Nights, Alpha, Beta, Unlimited, & Revised) cards with 1994 are often good too although it's limited to Legends set only, The Dark and Fallen Empires lesser as it goes along. I'm going to wager there aren't many pre-1994 unless it's Fallen Empires or Revised. Not a bad pick-up anyway, probably still good deck building cards in that lot.
Whaddya mean invalid parameters?!
