Default Die Hard Trilogy, Saturn vs PSX

been thinking about getting this game for a while now, probably since i was a kid when the game 1st came about but never got around to it, now that i have the disposable income, thinking about getting it finally, my question is, is it even worth playing anymore and if so, which system had the superior version?

i'd really prefer getting it for the saturn, but not if its graphically inferior or has unresponsive controls, what can you guys tell me about this game?

Just going off reviews, it appears that the PSOne release is superior while the Saturn version has a few issues including a choppy frame rate and control issues (Although the 3rd driving game is mentioned in several reviews as being superior to that on the PSOne).

I used to have the Saturn version. It was pretty terrible. I haven't played the PSX version since the the late '90's so my memory isn't fresh but it seemed better.

Most of the time PSX games will look better than it's Saturn counterpart if the game is heavy on the 3D (polygons and such). On the other hand, the Saturn almost always wins in the 2D department. Capcom fighting games come to mind. The Saturn was a 2D powerhouse, especially in Japan, where there are lots of great 2D games that never were released in the US.

As for Die Hard Trilogy... I'd go with the Playstation version. I owned it back in the day, and it was great.

This might be true in the majority of situations, but there are way too many exceptions to use it as a rule of thumb.

In this case, however, the Playstation version is better... but it's a pretty poor game to begin with.
