have a ps2 that has a flashing red power light and don't know what it is. unplug the power and plug back in it works. seems like it is getting hot i think too. any ideals?

It indicates a failure just like the red rings a 360 will display. Could be one of several things.
Figered it out. Took it apart and there was dust under the fan. Cleaned and it works now. This is my brothers BTW. Took mine apart to fix that switch the door pushes when closed. There was no dust In mine really. Still even have that plastic over the ps2 thing in the middleOriginally Posted by Leo_Ames
