Games that definitely suck, but you really want to like

You already did. Besides, not many really want to like Hydlide.

God Hand, Wartech, Gunvalkyrie... Who the hell are you people!?

God Hand is amazing. Also being a big Armored Core fan I liked GunValkyrie as it is similar styled with hard to use controls. One game XBOX got that the PS2 unfortunately didn't which really sucks so I've only played it. While GunValkyrie isn't from FromSoftware, From later came out with the AC4 games with some very difficult to use control schemes. Move, Aim, Shoot, Boost, Quick Boost, Change Weapons, etc, all at once, repeatedly at different rates. Because of the controls I prefer the prior games that allow for original controls without the implemented quick boost. Because of the extra buttons needed on AC4 implementing the original control scheme doesn't work properly unfortunately.

Never played Wartech, and it does look good, but I suck at shmups so I'd probably hate it.

Dragon Ball Raging Blast. Still has a lot of things wrong with it in comparison to Budokai Tenkaichi 3, but started to like it the more I played.
