I am sad to report that Chief Gates has passed away. If you don't know who he is, he was very instrumental in helping create the "Police Quest"/"SWAT" series.

Um, like the article says, Jim Walls was the creative force behind most of the Police Quest games.

I was not aware of Mr. Gates' association with Rodney King.
