I know a collector who is selling his Might and Magic III for cheap, however I was told that it is missing a disc. I was just curious to how many disks the game had? I searched google and ebay and came up empty.

Pretty sure it's 1 disc (I can't think of any multi-disc Turbo games) but it may have come in a two-disc case.
You may wanna wait for someone else to confirm, but he might just 'think' it's missing a disc.
It's one disk:

[edit: huh, I just did a search on Ebay non-completed auctions, and there's two of em. Here's one that clearly shows it's one disk: http://cgi.ebay.com/Might-Magic-III-...item518de5a40b ]
Here is a complete M&M III.

Actually Sim Earth is only 1 disc also.

I've been trying to get this game for awhile now, I never see it at a good price. Can't believe that first auction I linked to ended so low, but the guy screwed up by putting PC Engine in the title instead of Turbo Duo. Kinda sad since I collect RPGs and horror-type games almost exclusively, the three most expensive TGCD titles are two RPGs and one horror adventure title (if you want to look at Shadowgate that way... and my OCD has forced me to). XD
I'm on a quest to get every M&M console port there is. I have the NES, Genesis and SNES ones so far.
I've played a little of both the NES and SNES ones and enjoyed what I played. I'm actually really planning on getting every console RPG ever made (starting w/ NES and working my way up, and I think I pretty much have all of NES covered at this point, but now I'm working on boxed or CIB). Considering what I'm collecting for, I don't mind there being a few expensive titles, since I'm getting off easy compared to shmup fans, for instance (or the extreme OCD of "gotta catch em all!" people... I can't imagine needing to buy that many copies of Madden...).
Well I finally got it. Only cost me $5. It is complete with map. Only one tiny hairline scratch on disc. I will try to include some pics. I actually ended up spending $110 total. This is my second trip to buy from this unloading collector. I know this is probably best for the finds thread, but I will list everything I got for the $110 here.
Turbografx-16/CD System combo. CD player display works, but CD's don't spin. The Turbografx part works good though. Also included besides the controller and hook-ups: system 2.0 card, Keith Courage, a TurboStick controller, TurboTap (in box), controller extension cable, TurboPlay magazine, World Class Baseball player stat book, and a nice TG-16/CD hard case to carry the system in. Paid $20 for all this.
Saturn 8Meg Cartridge (don't know if it is a memory card or converter, haven't tested) $5
Shining The Holy Ark (Saturn, Complete) $25
Turbografx Games (all complete with case and manual, no box):
Might and Magic III: Isles of Terra $5
Dungeon Master: Theron's Quest $5
Loom $5
Sim Earth: The Living Planet $5
Shadow of the Beast $5
Sidearms $5
J.J. & Jeff $5
R-Type $5
Falcon $3
China Warrior $2
The Legend of Xanadu (Import) FREE
Victory Run FREE
Turbografx Games (all complete with case, manual and box):
World Court Tennis $5
Final Lap Twin $4
Sonic Spike $3
Takin It to the Hoop $3
and finallly I got loose (hucard only) of Neutopia II and Parasol Stars for freebies.
Holy hell ScottK, you found yourself a jackpot, congratulations! As far as the CD not spinning, open it up and check the teeth on the lil white gears and see if any of them are broken off. If none are broken, try to spin them. Sometimes they just stick from old lube. If that's the case, lube it up and enjoy!
Oh and if you don't need that copy of Turbo Play, let me know which issue it is and I'll buy it off ya.
All thanks to esteban on the pcenginefx forums.
Thanks man! You are not going to believe this but I opened up the system and moved the cranks like you said. It was stuck at first, then I put it back together and tried a music cd. Still didn't work. So then I manually moved the lens back and forth a few times and 10 seconds later it started spinning. I've tried it about 10 times since and it still works. I will lube it up later tonight.
Unfortunatly the TurboPlay is one I'd prefer to keep. It is the June/July 2000 edition. I really like the Neutopia and Sidearms maps. I'm getting ready to clean out my old magazines from my parents house and I might have some duplicates. If I do I will for sure let you know. Thanks again.
I do believe it, as it seems to be a common issue. Glad it worked for ya!
If you do have any extras of Turbo Play or Duo World just let me know.
