I didn't know this, and all these years thinking Sega was born of true Japan?

The Fonz motorcycle game....aye! Sit on it!
Oh yeah, Sega started out in America, located to Japan, and then...something happened. I think the original founders left the company in the 70s or 80s.
I remember Sega Visions doing a "History of Sega" and I (thankfully) got the issue that talked about the early years.
I was pretty blown away to see that the company I thought I knew was *way* older.
Plus it stood for SErvice GAmes. Visions really schooled me that day.
Too bad Sega could never consistently send me issues of Visions, I never saw the 2nd part of the history of Sega.

I have a Sega Visions that showed the Saturn Logo on the cover. That magazine rocked!

Lol, Sega Visions. It was like a poor man's Nintendo Power, but for Sega. It was somewhere in between the quality of Nintendo Fun Club News and early NPs. Basically, it was like a really good fanzine. I looked forward to reading it. But yes, the were wildly inconsistent about sending them.

The moral is, don't **** with Uncle Tim when he's been drinking!
I realize Nintendo Power was *paid subscription*, but you could score some sweet deals with that mag.
I subscribed and got four books: NES Game Atlas, Mario Mania, SNES Game guide, and Gameboy Game guide FREE. Worth it for the Atlas and Mario Mania all by itself.
Too bad Visions was never as ambitious.

Is Saga Visions the one that had Dan's Crap Corner, where they made fun of shitty fan art that kids sent in?
