Default Hori Track Famicom trackball compatibility?

I recently purchased a brand new Hori Track controller for use with my AV Famicom.

I wrongly hoped that the trackball would function redundantly to the d-pad on the controller. So my experience thus far is that the trackball has no function with any of the games I've tried it with.

I've spent a good bit of time searching Google for compatibility information, but can find no mention of games that will work with the trackball.

Does anybody know what games function with the Hori Track trackball control?

It only works with 4 games. Why would you expect an analog trackball to be compatible with Famicom games?
Next time know what you're buying before you buy it.

Next time drop the attitude, dude.

How about being a little more helpful and naming the 4 games.

    Thanks.

How about I don't name them and next time you'll learn not to impulse buy stuff just because it's Japanese?
I'm sure one of these helpful forumites will help you out though. After all we wouldn't want to get the impression that some random asshole is more knowledgable on Japanese video games than the regulars who post here on a daily basis.

Listen you jerk. You don't know me, and you certainly don't have a clue why I purchased the Hori Track.

Spastic beat me to it. Users aren't allowed to be dicks to each other until they've made at least 500 posts. Now quit being assholes or you won't make it that long.

What was Pancake's purpose in dangling the fact that he has the answer but is unwilling to share it? Why did he even bother posting in this thread, other than to provoke a situation that did not exist?

Now, I guess I have to explain myself for you: I purchased the Hori Track because I've have been a game player and collector particularly interested in different styles of controllers.

I'd been aware of the Hori Track since around 2002. It was only in the past few months that I obtained a Famicom which enables me to utilize Japanese peripherals for the Nintendo 8-bit system.

On multiple occasions over the years I have looked for information about compatibility of the Hori Track, but have never seen any definitive information.

Recently I saw an auction for a new new Hori Track, with SAL shipping I was able to purchase it for under $12. After being aware of the controller for 8 years, and having just recently expanding my collecting into Famicom controllers, and having spent multiple hours on multiple occasions doing research, my purchase was certainly not an "impulse" buy.

The fact that the Hori Track also has large "A" and "B" buttons and a standard d-pad was a deciding factor to purchase it, as it could at least be used as a unique standard controller if the trackball proved incompatible with standard games.

My wishful thinking was that the track ball would be wired as to produce a standard digital direction signal for up, down, left, and right - thus being redundant to the d-pad. I didn't expect it to be so, but it certainly seems possible for circuitry to allow both analog and digital signals to be produced by the roller mechanism.

It would be nice to know what games are coded to operate with the Hori Track. I am always on the lookout for new games to enjoy.
It is a shame that someone should use this as an excuse to be rude.
It is hard to imagine what is wrong with Pancake Bunny's personal life that he felt compelled to be such a miserable and condescending contributor to this thread.

    well what's the problem?
    Asking a simple question here:
What games are compatible with the Hori Track controller?

Okay, since you were actually desperate enough to type out that long explanation for me, I'll tell you.

    The games are

    Operation Wolf
    US Championship V'Ball
    Moero Pro Soccer
    Putt Putt Golf (FDS game)

    Much appreciated.

Operation Wolf will certainly be interesting to play.
And I'll be looking for the volleyball game too.

Just checking to see if anyone can glean a game title listed within the instruction sheet. I tried running the scans through Google Translate and didn't really get much out of it other than a mention of a 'dungeon'. Amusingly enough, the d-pad, A/B Start/Select buttons seem to work with all games like a standard controller, but I only know of four games the trackball works with so far:

Operation Wolf (Both Japanese and US release!)
    US Championship V'Ball
    Moero Pro Soccer
    Putt Putt Golf (FDS game)

Sorry, no new game information here, just boilerplate instruction manual type stuff. Although apparently Hori did offer a "Twin Adapter" for 1,500 yen that let you play with two trackballs on one Famicom. Wonder how many of those were sold.
