Somebody suggest a NES game I should play! I have all the U.S. Officially licensed games. I want something obscure, but good!! Not the greatest hits. How is Kiwi Kraze? I've owned that game for about two months now, but I have never played it.

I suggest lolo! Or Marble Madness.
And if neither of those work...Duck Tales!
Life is like a hurricane...

You could try The Three Stooges, I haven't played it in ages but I enjoy it.
people always give it crap, but i loved the NES version of Strider.
Yeah, that's always been a favorite of mine. As long as you're not expecting the arcade version, it's a really good (but completely different) game.
I always liked Fester's Quest, too. Difficult game, but fun once you get the hang of it. It borrows heavily from the top-down portions of Blaster Master (right down to the sound effects and musical vibe), but I really liked this one back in the day.
And I haven't played it in quite some time, and I know I'm gonna catch it for this, but... I really enjoyed Hydlide.
I've edited your title so people can at least get some idea of what your thread is about.
When I'm bored, I like to play puzzle-type games. I would go with Lolo as DuckTales suggested, or maybe Solomon's Key. Not obscure games by any stretch, but fun time-burners nonetheless.
Or how about Snake Rattle 'N Roll?
Oh god, Hydlide...
it never struck me as "bad" but it just seemed too generic to bother completing.
now, Hydlide III on genesis and Super Hydlide on saturn, those were actually pretty fun.
Guardian Legend is as obscure and good as a NES game can get. A mix of Zelda and Gun Nac (there's another suggestion!).
You can opt for a pure shoot'em up craze by inputting the password "TGL". Hope that helps.

So what did you end up playing? Little Sampson? Mendel Palace? Whomp 'Em?
All great obscure NES games.
I remember this game. Great game if it wasn't for the last level, which made it go down the crapper (for me). The rest of the game was excellent, yet the last level ruined everything for me. I remember struggling with the controls and really hating the game because of it.
Proud owner of a Neo 25 Neo Geo Candy Cab!
I went with Strider! Great game! I can't believe I've never played that one on the nes!!
I'm too late to the party, but I'd recommend Puss N Boots. Or Arkista's Ring if you've never played it.
