They were probably broken. I've destroyed many broken systems before. Genesis model 1, Genesis model 2, Atari Lynx, all on video or pics.

(That Bubsy cart killed a Genesis. Justified destruction, imo.)

I like how he said the Atari 2600 port of Pac-man was "legendary."

I feel like starting a new youtube sensation....
Adults who beat the shit outta kids who destroy classic game consoles.
As for the Old Spice commercial.... Win-finity.
Original Terry Crews Old Spice commercials. Still awesome, just not Duck Tales awesome.

I once worked at Savers (thrift store)(for a month)... My first day I had to sweep up everything that fell out of the trash compactor. I remember having a weird feeling sweeping up scattered bits of SNES.
That place was a joke, I remember watching things get thrown away because the pricer determined (quite often) that they were too old or that nobody would want them.
.............
Good point on the LittleBigPlanet thing.
EXACTLY how I am, about being considered a nerdy person. I became fascinated with all the old consoles by the time I was 8 or 9, and never gave two shits about graphics. I'm told all the time "8-Bit Mario sucks. It isn't as violent as Mass Effect (or whatever the hell they play these days)". Makes me wanna strangle some people. And I'm 14 now too and I still don't give a shit about gay ass school fags.
Or I'd go into their house and steal their 360s, replacing it with an NES or other cool retro console and some games for it. I'd threaten to pawn their 360 if they didn't PROVE that they respected the 8 and 16 bit eras. Would make me a lot of money, or at least I'd think so. heh heh
Somehow the hyperbole of the topic title saddens me more than the smashing of NESs.
That asshole who designed the Atari 2600 pac-man apparently was getting guaranteed something like 1 million$ and just rushed through it. Dick even photocopied his check and taped it to his office door. What a crappy port, though. I'd still have liked to see the Atari port of Xevious come out, even though I resent Xevious and consider it one of the worst shmups of all time.
Wow. I just watched the video again and if you look in the background these guys appear to be really poor. They should have kept that NES, it's probably the only one they can afford instead of a Shitbox 360. But seriously, I'd take Megaman 2 over MassEffect any day. Although I would take MW2 (which is okay, nothing special) over Ecco the Dolphin, which is complete shit.
Edit: That port was crap and you know it. He might not be an asshole, but he made one of the crappiest games of all time and influenced the crash of 83' to some extent. Have you ever played Pac-Man on 2600? Imagine being a little kid that just spent today's equivalent of around 40$ to play Pacman and ended up with the abomination that is Pac-Man on Atari 2600.
