    Default Replacement Sega CD Cases

Hi, is there an online store that supplies these cases? I have a number of games I purchased but with the cases in poor condition.

No. You could buy cheap sport games and take their cases.

Yup, that's the best idea. If you can, find cheap lots of sealed sports games.

You could always get a dvd case and go to http://www.thecoverproject.net/ to print out some covers. Most of the covers there are REALLY cool. There's one for SMB 1 for NES that's... well... very unique. You'll know what I'm talking about when you see it.

I want to go that route, but the cost of printing the things is just insanely high around these parts. I don't own a printer either. :\

My dad bought a 1000$ printer with 250$ cartridges. He said: "James, there's no way you're going to print out all those covers". Mainly because I told him once I sell my CMVS that I built, I'm spending it all on NES carts. (Think roughly 800$ worth of carts) So, I guess we're on the same page. Now I have to spend my NES money on Kinko's...

The only drawback is what to do with the manuals. They don't fit in the DVD cases.

I've been printing a lot of covers lately since my Sega CD and Saturn collection is almost disc-only at this point. A full color laser print on couche paper (what I use for SCD/SAT covers) is about $0.50 around here while on opaline paper is about $1.00 (what I use for GCN/Xbox/PS2/Wii replacement covers) so it really isn't that bad since original covers are about $3~$4 plus shipping on eBay.

Damn. Down here they charge like $3 USD (about 35 pesos) for A HALF PAGE.

We get ripped off in the North!

Do you have an OfiCopy nearby? I don't know if they are a regional or national chain but there's two in my city and that's where I go to print them. They are kind out of the way though. Ofix and OfficeDepot also offer color prints and are close by but they are a little more expensive, about twice what OfiCopy charges but still bearable. OfficeDepot charges MXN$13 for couche, MXN$17 for opaline, Ofix charges MXN$10 but they only have bond paper. OfficeMax doesn't have color prints.

I live in the north too. Let's face it Kitsune Sniper, we're screwed. Damn, I just wanted to keep my NES games in an organized fashion. Didn't know it would cost this much... Well, no Bonk's Adventure NES for me then...

The Cover Project is an amazing site if you want to go the DVD cover route,my few Sega CD games turned out very nicely.

Yes the images suck due to them being taken on a cellphone, but yea they do look very nice and neat on a shelf, same with my N64 and SNES games as well.

And sadly yes the manuals won't fit in them, but you can always find the PDF files of them and try to print them in DVD case size.

Yes the cost of printing can be high when it comes to a project like that. With some left over college money I bought a laser printer for $250, 25 DVD cases for $10 and some universal game cases (100 of them) for $48, and got the job done. Sadly I am now out of toner and the replacement toner costs as much as the printer!! But if you look at the cost per page printed,in the long run, better than ink-jet any day,I got 295 full color 8.5 by 14 covers out of it.
