    Default weekday finds 6-23/6-26

I'll start the topic. Didn't find any games, but I went dumpster diving at blockbuster and grabbed out 300 DVD, PS2, GC cases. I also grabbed those BB system display boxes that say "FOR DISPLAY ONLY"

not much, but I enjoyed hopping into that dumpster.

I've never had the guts to go diving myself.

No 'finds' really, but I did get Fantasy Zone 2 for the SMS for $8 shipped. not too awful. Fun as hell game too.

OMG you have to go dumpster diving. today I did it all alone, usually I have someone with me and they can be my lookout.

man, when I was 14 there was this old burned out and falling apart ski lodge up north and it was abandoned for about 5 years. Anyway they had a Ms.Pac Man arcade and a Gorf arcade game downstairs. I so wanted toi "borrow those arcade games, but my parents are like no, you could hurt yourself. Which I could have, but it would have been worth it. So I had to leave them, but my uncle did hop in the building and take some beer signs and other stuff.......eventually someone else ransacked the place about a year later....but they also had about 300 pairs of skiis, boots, and bindings in a pile next to the arcade machines.

My friend once went dumpster diving after there was a flood near the local rental store---all he found was a crappy Game Tips VHS movie.

I didn't buy much of anything cause my family has been down, but I paid full price for a few games I wanted:

Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits $60 Cdn (had EB credit)

    Also got in the mail:

    TG16 system
    NGPC system w/3 games
    Sega Soccer Slam (XBox)
    Skygunner
    Record of Lodoss War (DC)
scooterb: "I once shot a man in Catan, just to watch him die."

I had a nice Master System haul today. For 99p (~$1.50) each, I picked up (all boxed, most with manuals):

    Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (R8 )
    Fantastic Dizzy (R7 )
    Golvellius: Valley of Doom
    Gain Ground
Alex Kidd & the Lost Stars
    Ghouls & Ghosts
    Submarine Attack
    Forgotten Worlds
    The Ottifants
    Laser Ghost

Also, I finally got around to modding one of my spare Megadrives this evening, despite already having PAL, US and Jap machines, so I can now play every game without switching systems, and play the later PAL games in their full 60Hz glory. Hooray!

Didn't find much, the Software Etc. here didn't have many NES games (I think they're trying to faze it out, at least it seems that way), but I did find a little loose gem: Tiny Toons Cartoon Workshop for 2 bucks. Looked it up in my beautiful little DP Guide (plug plug kiss kiss) and saw it listed as an R5 worth $10. Joy!

Also picked up a manga today, Ranma 1/2 action series. Good buy for 10 bucks, it's a stacked manga.

Struck out at Playsource today, but went and picked up Legaia 2 for PS2 at Meijer's after work for $15.

I haven't had much time to hunt, I've been absolutely overtaken by Xenogears. Today is the 5th day I've been playing it, 22:30 in, and I'm not done for the night, just taking a rest. I had the game paused for a good minute and a half with a shitfaced grin with the some quote similar to "What, did you really think that a god existed as you know it? The Ethos were put in place by Solaris to monitor the Lambs and control the weak-willed masses." It takes balls to denouce all modern religion in today's media.
