Default SNES cart - board transplant?

On my copy of Earthbound, the traces on the cart board are in really bad condition - Some are broken, it's just a mess. Could the chips be taken off my copy, put on a donor board, and replaced in my cart? What would that entail? Would a Super Famicom Mother 2 be a compatible donor? Is this hard? Would this be a project for the folks who make repro carts?

    Thanks in advance

You would probably be better off just buying another copy of Earthbound.

It would be less difficult to just add a jumper wire on the damaged traces:

I'm trying to avoid that, 'cause I've tried in the past and it didn't work.

Well, at least I can frame it and feel special.

If it didn't work then the ROM was damaged as well, I'm afraid.
