I think I may start a "Ryaan1234's restoration thread" in the repair sub-forum. Anyone interested in me doing this? It'd be a thread documenting the cleaning/fixing up of video game stuff, and it may be a good reference for others. This Bambino handheld game is filthy and has some light rust on it's battery terminals. I'm going to clean it up and get it in good working condition to sit on my shelf with my Coleco and Nintendo tabletops.

I did a thread like that, then izarate came in and blew me away you should see what he has fixed / restored. Link I haven’t bumped it because I haven’t been fixing things as of late but I got a pile that I need to get to soon.

Picked up today three stooges PS1 for $5.

This doesn't happen often but sometimes upon giving the rejects/damaged/too old of games back to a trade-in customer they will say they don't want them....to give them to someone else...or to throw them away. So, today I reap the benfits!



A few of these are beat up which is to be expected but that ones I cared about I lucked out on: Lunar Silver Star, Arc Collection (w/all 6 discs), Doom 3 all in good shape, all keepers!

Nice SMS haul. The Power Strike alone makes up for the price you paid plus you got some other gems like Phantasy Star, Ys, and Wonder Boy in Monster Land.

I haven't really been on the lookout for any finds because I'm trying to save up to get my cat fixed and my car possibly needs a front end alignment (the steering wheel wobbles and veers to the left). Until I get some disposable income again, I'll just have to live vicariously through other member for a while.

Picked up a few things at a thrift sale today. I got a sealed OEM copy of Windows 95 with reg. number, the DVD of Lord of the Rings, Two Towers (4 disk set), the jewel case version of 7th Guest for Windows 95, and a few other non-gaming stuff for $3.

GBC With Some Sort of Light/Magnify (sp?) Thing & Donkey Kong Country In The System - $1

Unadvertised sale on the main street about a block from where I live. Turned on and worked great, IAP was a buck.

2x Xbox, Playstation 2 With Network Adaptor, N64 With 4 Meg Ram Expansion & 9 Games - $5

The games are all pictured in the bottom right, top 3 complete, Gran Turismo 4 is missing the game, Manhunt no manual, inside Mortal Kombat DA was Chrono Cross Disc 1 and the disc only games are Crazy Taxi 3 (Xbox) & Digimon World (PS1). This stuff wasen't treated well as it was in a damp basement near a river to make it worse. Was $5 a system or .50 a game and the guy took $5 for what I picked out.

Sonic games I think these were .50 each but took .50 for both. The Playstation games I saw at an unadvertised sale as I was going down a main street late in the day that was one of my last sales. No prices so I offered $3 and it was taken.

Yup. Surprisingly all other potential buyers also offer $50. So the seller decided to sell it to me because I was the first to reply to the ad.
