Default No Sound from Coleco Frogger Mini Arcade.

I bought a Coleco Frogger at a garage sale earlier today. Put batteries in and turned it on. It works but there is no sound coming out. Anyone have an idea what the problem might be?

I suppose the easiest repair possibility would be a bad connection to the little piezo buzzer these use as a speaker. Here are directions about how to open the Coleco VFD tabletops. TAKE YOUR TIME.

With these it's always also possible that there was a battery leak that ate through the speaker connection. Are their any signs of acid damage in the battery compartment? After you get it open you'll have a better idea of what needs to be done for repair.

If you can't get the sound working, I've got a loose, working Coleco Frogger you can have for $20 shipped. Just missing the battery cover and has a small crack on the screen.

Opened it up and it turns out one of the wires leading from the speaker to the circuit board has come loose and needs to be reattached.

That's about the best result you could have hoped for - an easy fix.
