EDIT: Scratch that. Posting style confused me with the way it was set up. Either way, sounds interesting, considering the only other fanmade sequel I've seen that has interested me is a Maniac Mansion 3 by a German group. Still, I've been playing the sequels that were released for Amiga, and they're pretty good, to say the least.

Thanks Jr. Mod Enigmus! Oh so helpful! If you have nothing useful to post, report it, and leave it alone. You posting BUMPS the thread, giving it more attention.
Do you know what 'The Silver Lining' is? It's the fansite for the mythical 9th King's Quest game (wrappping the series) that was canned by Activision/Blizzard. It's now running a countdown timer that ends sometime tomorrow. Something is going on, the question is what.
**shimmy to Classic Gaming, since thats where the rest of the Kings Quest stuff 'is'**

Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

The countdown is over, and TSL will see the light of day!
Head on over to http://www.postudios.com/ and http://www.tsl-game.com/ to find out all about it!
Now the delay for the next chapter can begin!

This got shot down by Activision quite awhile ago. Looks like they're allowing this group to release it.

I hope Square Enix takes note of this and allows Chrono Trigger Crimson Echoes to be finished and released, even if I do believe it was just the team themselves that wanted to be done with the game. The game was pretty in scale and a fairly good game, even in its incomplete state.
*edit*
I actually just searched King's Quest. Not Silver Lining and then just noticed someone already posted it. Need merged.
Looks like "The Silver Lining" was released on July 10 at long last. Now to finally play the finished first chapter of this game after all this time. We shall see if it is as good as the originals.
It's probably going to be better than King's Quest 3, 4, or 7 at least. :P
That was pretty good for a game that was over in an hour. Really, this Episode I or Chapter I served more as a prologue than anything. I was really expecting at least three to five hours of play time. Well we have more entries in this episodic game to expect this year, so I am looking forward to the next release.
Just remember to not forget the coin out on the balcony or you'll end up doing a lot of backtracking like I did.
