Default BOX 1: The SNES Unknow Games! (Lots of Pics)

    Hi

the box story is the following:

A video store closed down and I've bought all the SNES section. Everything came packed in 5 boxes, and this are the games of BOX 1. I must say that every game is boxed but just a few have manuals. And as everybody knows piracy rules in Brazil so I expected a lot of pirate games.

When the games arrived I looked and saw 70% of the games were official. But those are not fun to show.

    Those are the games:

This pac-man is unknown. It's not Ms Pac Man and it's not the new adventures of Pac Man. I just watched the game first logo and it was just PAC-MAN and the option to select 1 or 2 players.

Ronaldinho, is the name of the great brazilian soccer player that now is a little bit fat. This is for sure not official.

As I don't speak japanese I have no idea which game is this one! If somebody can tell me, I'll be very happy

Those 2 games are not in US library. I have no idea if they are PAL releases or hacks. But as far as I know Bart vs the space mutants is a game for the NES not SNES. And Asterix, well, I really don't know.

Super Air Diver: I belive this game is a famicon game, but I have no idea if it's official or not.

I know this game is a Tiny Toons game but wich one ? I really don't know, and if it's official or not, I don't know either.

Donald Duck: Could not find in the US library, maybe a PAL release ?

Placar: It's the name of a Brazilian magazine, they did this soccer game that fits all the brazilian teams into a game. The narration is in portuguese too. A brazilian hack almost official.

Dragon Ball Z 3: I looked in the US library and not a single Dragon Ball game. I hardly think this game is official, but who knows ?

Barbie Story maker: This game must sux but I could not find anything in the US game list.

Fifa 97: I've played this title in the computer long time ago. In the cover there is a brazilian soccer player named Bebeto, he won the 94 world cup with Brazil. He is now retired but the game is here >D

    5 in 1: those 2 compilations have:
First one in the right is called Cartoon 5 in 1 and has the following games:
    1. Doraemon 4
    2. Tiny Toon (which one ?)
    3. Super Mario world
    4 Goof Troop
    5. Ren & Stimpy Show

The other one in the left is called: Classic 5 in 1 and has the following games:
    1. Top Gear 2
    2. Cool spot (7 up)
    3. The Smurfs
    4. Congo's Caper
    5. Asterix
Except for top gear I belive the other games are not in the us library and are rare.

Home Alone 2: this game is in a famicon box and has the us format. Nothing more to add them the picture

Iron Commando: Could not find in the US library too

International Super Star Soccer: I've played a lot this game! It was a surprise to not find it in the US library. This is the Campeonato brasileiro of 1996.

Sonic Wings: YES! This game r0x, famicon release but not sure if my copy is official or not.

International Super Star Soccer: Without the mods for brazilian championship league.

Gudan wings: Famicon game, official or not

International superstar soccer 2: What did you expected ? This is the land of soccer!

Bugs life: As far as I know this game exists for the psx and for the n64, this is the n64 cover but this game works in the SNES

    Those 3 games are:
    1. same castlevania, I'm really not sure. I belive it's castlevania 4, but I don't speak japanese.
    2. Sky mission: not in the US library
    3. Shooting collection: famicon game.

    Those 2 are another collection:

First one has the games: Predator, Universe Soldier (universal soldier ? maybe ?) Pit Fighter, Final Fight, Turtles 4 Radical Rescue.

The second one is called Super 3 in 1 and have the games: Incantation, Oscar and Realm.

Those 2: Yuyu Hakusho (some game of the series) and The King of Fighters 2000.

Next 2: Capitan Commando and Nosferatu (famicon release)

Soublade: this game exist in n64 and psx if I'm not mistaken but here is the hack for the snes

007 Goldeneye: I've played this game a lot in the n64 but in the SNES, never before.

Taz Mania 2, escape from mars: In the Us library there's only one taz game, but this is the second one. Official or not.

That's it, post your comments, if I have anything that's rare, let me know.

Hope you guys liked and I'll do the same if there is anything interesting in the next 4 boxes.

And for the record, there where 100 boxed games in box one. Let's hope the same for box 2.

Well the Pac-Man says "Pac Men" on it, so it's got to be a fake. Hell half of those look like fakes. I'd like to see what the Soul Blade game looks like on the SNES.

I like how the Dragon Ball Z game is for the "Super Nintend" Entertainment System.

It was also hilarious to see the several "Super Cartridge Entertainment System" boxes.

    These pirates didn't even try.

Looking at the Super Famicom games w/ snes carts some look legit. I think someone took the art off the SFC cart and put the board and art in/on a SNES cart. Most of the ones I am talking about have tears in the label, have the SFC box and screws are missing or different.

Here's the one I think did that, open them up and take a pic of the board so I can be sure:
    Nosferatu
    Captain Commando
    Gundam W: Endless Dual

Sonic Wings and Super Air Diver appear legit.

Any way of playing these carts? The Goldeneye one looks intersting, especially if they somehow hacked Doom for SNES. That would be an epic pirate hack.

I hate to burst your bubble, but look right above the title of the game on the box.

It's probably just a retitled James Bond Jr.

    >_<

Brazilian "pirates" tend to just be Japanese games stuck into SNES shells so you have...

Super Air Diver - which is Lock On in the US.

Sonic Wings - which is Aero Fighters in the US.

Yuu Yuu Hakusho Final - which was never released in the US.

Sky Mission - which is Wings 2: Aces High in the US.

Iron Commando - Not released in the US.

And on and on. Both Asterix and the Smurfs are European exclusives. I'd be interested to know if they play on a regular SNES or not.

[edit: be very happy - Mickey to Donald Magical Adventure 3 is the title you're looking for on the Mickey game. Japanese only release. http://www.gamefaqs.com/snes/571388-...mages/box-8516 ]

[edit 2: there's two Donald Duck games for the Super Famicom. One became Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow and the other is called Donald Duck no Mahou no Boshi]

Ok, I'll try to answer everybody here:

Yes I can play the cartridges, the lcd tv I use as a monitor (I'm using it right now) has a snes plugged on it. I'll put the games and take some pictures of the screen.

I must warn you guys that I'm terrible taking pictures, so don't expect wonderful things here.

Give me 20 minutes or so and I'll be taking the pictures and upload it.

EDIT: Thanks mobiusclimber, I'll take pictures of the games in action right now

With the Super Famicom games, you can easily tell if they are pirates if you look on the back of the cartridge. If they have two little slots that allow them to go into an American SNES, then they are pirates. If those slots are not there, then they may be official carts.

Great pics by the way! Thanks for posting.

All of those games are pirates EXCEPT for Magical Quest 3 Starring Mickey Mouse, that was a Japanese game. I'm still looking for that game...

That Donald Duck game was a Japanese only release as well, the version you have is a pirate.

I have 2 copies of "Magical Quest 3 Starring Mickey Mouse" and both are like US cartridge format. So I think everything I showed here is "pirate".

In the end all of this does not have any value, is that it ? :/

I've looked at brazilian shops and auction sites, I can't find any more of this games. So even they do not worth anything I guess they are (maybe?) rare.

At least I couldn't find on the web a place to buy them.

All this stuff pops up on MercadoLivre very often. Usually for around $20 or less.

Oh, sorry, thought it was in a Japanese cart. Then yes, everything is pirate.

That's not to say the pirates are worthless though, as some pirates can fetch a decent price depending on the game and rarity.
