Any thoughts on how much you'd offer. Seems like it would be a really fun "big toy" The guy wants $2,500, which seems high. How many could there be though?

2500 for a MAME cab?
**snicker**
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

Oh dear God.
That cab isn't worth $250 let alone $2,500.
It's not old school. Unless you consider an XBOX 360 old-school because you can play classic games through Xbox live. This machine is not worth the price at all. And it's ugly.
There are only 336 of them and it’s an official product of Mountain Dew, you don’t think it has any value?
I have no clue but the official rules has it at $3,000 here I'm not saying it’s worth that but it’s not just some MAME cab someone made in their garage.
It may have some value to a soda collector, but from a video game collecting point of view, it's just a MAME cab with an odd design and Mountain Dew logos. It's not "official" in the sense that it's not a product of any major video game company. Also 336 of them seems like a lot.
'
... Does that thing even contain MAME? I doubt it. It's probably something else.
It's pretty close. I guess it'd be collectable to people who like Mountain Dew. Not many "Old school" games use a 16x9 monitor, so you can imagine verticals will be a tiny window box in the center of the screen, and verticals will be stretched out or not use the full 22" screen. If one were to build a MAME rig who had any sort of appreciation for classic games, it would not be this.
Instruction manual included. (ARV $2999.99)Old School Gaming Packages, namely one (1) ARCADE GAMING SYSTEM: Pre loaded with 177 games. The arcade system is equipped with an internal computer running Windows XP, an 80GB hard drive (compatible with existing PC software & hardware). A 22" Widescreen LCD flat panel high-resolution monitor, premium 2.1 audio sound system with subwoofer, Happ Controls™ buttons & joysticks, mouse & keyboard & an Ethernet adapter for access to the Internet & e-mail. Two Player Control Panel (featuring controls for two-player, side-by-side games), and a full-size 3" arcade trackball plus pinball flipper buttons. . Plugs into any standard outlet 1-Year warranty.
Point taken, I found this YouTube video of it. Okay, it’s a MAME cab that Mountain Dew made in their garage .
Except for the widescreen, I think it is really cool looking...
I could see spending a grand on it, if the games don't suck.
Man, some tough customers in here!
But maybe I'm not the right person to ask because the side art reminds me more than a little of the wireframe 3D sequence from The Black Hole...also a worthwhile expression of how far your gaming dollar goes when you buy stuff like this.
Yeah, it's cheesy, just missing the "hillbilly" character to set it up to retro. As mentioned, not the most practical device, but kind of interesting. I'd be interested to see what kind of screen (or panel) is inside, and if this is actually built off a catalog cabinet, or if it was a one-off design.
