What's the best way to store loose cartridges to minimize the amount of dirt that accumulates on the contacts?

If you wanna be creative and have them nice and neat on a shelf, opt to buy some universal game cases from here: http://www.mediashelving.com/Merchan...duct_Code=USCG . They can fit everything mostly and only need a little of modification for NES carts. Also a step further would be to print labels for them using the cover project http://www.thecoverproject.net/
You can go from this:
To this:
You don't have to print the labels thou if you don't want to,the cases do just fine keeping the dust out.

For SMS/MD/Gen/Famicom games, an audio cassette case works great.
When I was a kid I used to use a foodsaver to keep my extra 'oregano' fresh. The same technology can be used to keep your cartridges free of all dust and dirt. Sure it may be ugly as hell to display, but the peace of mind you'll get if your house ever floods is priceless.
Seriously though, Az is right about the cassette holder. I used to use a wall mounted display to show off my loose Genesis games before moving on to a unit with pull out drawers. You can find them at thrift stores from time to time.
Regarding the universal game cases, what kind of modification are we talking about to support NES carts? Also, can they hold Super Famicom carts?
I had written off these cases, but for 42c ea, tempting to pick up for my loose N64 and genesis games. Thanks for the tip!

NES carts require a few tabs to be cut/shaved off. Link http://www.thecoverproject.net/forum...p?topic=3294.0
SFC carts will fit without modification, but since they're smaller than SNES carts they are loose in the case. A single styrofoam peanut will keep them sitting still.
I have plenty of these left if anyone just wants a few.
